TL;DR: In this article, an analytical-behavioral interpretation of the expression effective college teacher as a behavioral repertoire and to describe general classes of behaviors that compose it was proposed, which can contribute to the planning of training and assessment of college teachers.
Abstract: Behavior-analytical contributions to describe the repertoire of effective university teachers The objective of this study was to propose an analytical-behavioral interpretation of the expression effective college teacher as a behavioral repertoire and to describe general classes of behaviors that compose it. It has been found that classifying teacher work as effective involves three criteria: teaching objectives defined in terms of the needs of learners and the society; success in promoting learning without transforming the educational environment in aversive stimuli; and application by the students, when they become professionals, of what has been learned to mitigate or solve social needs. The classes of behavior identified were organized into two categories: managing teaching conditions and relating professionally. This study can contribute to the planning of training and assessment of college teachers.

TL;DR: Evaluating the effect of seed size and substrates upon germination and the initial growth of seedlings of E. oleracea on different substrates found the substrates present better development of acai seedlings.
Abstract: The acai palm ( Euterpe oleracea Mart.) is a tree native to the Amazonia. In some states in the region, growth of the planted area has been observed, but the difficulty in obtaining substrates which are viable for the production of seedlings is high. It was intended in a first step to evaluate the effect of seed size and substrates upon germination and in the second step, to evaluate the initial growth of seedlings of E. oleracea on different substrates. The experimental design was a completely randomized design in 2 x 2 factorial scheme with four replications at 100 seeds. Germination percentage, percentage of abnormal seedlings, shoot and root length and dry weight of the seedlings were evaluated after 70 days. In the second step, completely randomized design in 9 x 6 factorial scheme with five replications with four seedlings/ plot was utilized. At 60, 90 , 120 , 150 , 180 and 210 days after transplanting, shoot height and diameter of the stem of the plant were assessed, number of leaves were determinate at 90, 120 , 150, 180 and 210 dat and at 210 dat, determinations of dry weight of the shoot and root system were conducted. These samples were put in an oven with forced air circulation at 60 oC for 72 hours. Acai seeds considered large present greater germination percent as compared with small seeds and the substrate sand provides greater percentage of seed germination. The substrates composed of 75% (soil+sand) + 25% manure and with 75% (soil+sand) + 25% carbonized rice husk present better development of acai seedlings.

TL;DR: A high diversity of HBV genotypes in Roraima, which is also found in other Brazilian geographical regions, is showed, for the first time, the HBV/F3 genotype circulating in Brazil.
Abstract: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a serious global health problem. HBV has a high viral genetic diversity, with 10 genotypes recognized. In Brazil, the Roraima State is the third in the Northern region regarding the number of hepatitis B cases. On the other hand, few data on HBV genotyping and phylogenetic analysis are available. The purpose of this study is to characterize the HBV genotypes circulating in Roraima State. Of the 113 chronic hepatitis B patients enrolled in this study, 40 were HBV-DNA positive. A fragment of 280 bp (S gene) was amplified by PCR and submitted to nucleotide sequencing. A dataset containing the viral sequences obtained in this study, plus 130 obtained from GenBank was used for genotyping by phylogenetic analysis. The HBV subgenotype distribution found was A1 (62.5%), A2 (7.5%), D2, D3, D4 (2.5%), F2a (12.5%), and F3 (10%). We characterized the genotypes and subgenotypes of HBV circulating among patients in the State of Roraima. In addition, our study shows for the first time the HBV/F3 genotype circulating in Brazil. In conclusion, our findings showed a high diversity of HBV genotypes in Roraima, which is also found in other Brazilian geographical regions.
