TL;DR: The range of lessons learned provided an important stimulus for the debate on the limits and possibilities of the Family Health Program and interaction between medical students and the community.

TL;DR: In this article, a mean-field variational approach based on Bogoliubov inequality for the free energy of the two-dimensional anisotropic antiferromagnetic Ising model in both uniform longitudinal (H ) and uniform transverse ( Ω ) magnetic fields is studied.
Abstract: Magnetic phenomena of the two-dimensional anisotropic antiferromagnetic Ising model in both uniform longitudinal ( H ) and uniform transverse ( Ω ) magnetic fields are studied by employing a mean-field variational approach based on Bogoliubov inequality for the free energy. The phase diagrams in the magnetic fields and temperature ( T ) planes, namely H − T and Ω − T , are analyzed on an anisotropic square lattice for some values of the ratio α = J y / J x , where J x and J y are, respectively, the exchange interactions along the x and y directions. Depending on the range of the Hamiltonian parameters, one has only second-order transition lines, only first-order transition lines, or both first- and second-order transition lines with the presence of tricritical points. In addition, the corresponding phase diagrams are free from any reentrant behavior.

TL;DR: In this article, a roteiro de entrevista with perguntas semi-estruturadas was utilised to assess situacoes estressantes vivenciadas by vinte e um gestores pertencentes a duas universidades publicas do Sul do Pais.

TL;DR: This chapter provides a compilation of the richness of species of animals and plants cited in the literature as being used for ethnoveterinary purposes in Latin America, showing a plethora of biological species for the treatment of diseases and sicknesses of livestock and herds in this area.
Abstract: Since immemorial times, humans have been using plants and animals as medicinal sources according to the benefit that these resources offered. Latin America has a population whose culture is the result of a combination of different ethnic groups and has contributed to it becoming one of the most culturally diverse regions in the world. Similarly, the great abundance of natural resources that can be extracted from a rich biodiversity favors their use by traditional populations that depend on such resources to guarantee the health of their animals through a folk medicine practice known as ethnoveterinary medicine, which passed on through the generations. This chapter provides a compilation of the richness of species of animals and plants cited in the literature as being used for ethnoveterinary purposes in Latin America. The results show a plethora of biological species (364 species of plants and 61 animal species) for the treatment of diseases and sicknesses of livestock and herds in this area. The families of medicinal plants that were most frequently reported were Fabaceae and Asteraceae, whereas mammals were the animal group most reported as a source of drugs for ethnoveterinary treatments, followed by insects. These data reflect the existence of broad knowledge regarding the use of natural resources in traditional veterinary medicine in Latin America, a practice that has persisted over time.

TL;DR: The objective of this present work was to establish growth curves of plants cassava cultivar Aciolina submitted to five doses of potassium, grown in Roraima savannah environment, indicating that the low content of K restricts the growth of the plant height.
Abstract: Potassium is considered nutrient extracted over cassava. Thus, its low availability in the soil affects plant growth, reflecting the expansion of cultivated area and productivity of crops potassium deficient. The objective of this present work was to establish growth curves of plants cassava cultivar Aciolina submitted to five doses of potassium, grown in Roraima savannah environment. The experimental design was in blocks at random in scheme of split plots, with four replications. Five doses of potassium (0, 30, 60, 120 and 240 kg ha-1 K2O) were randomized in the plots and evaluation times (150, 210, 270 and 360 days after planting - DAP) in the subplots. The variables evaluated: stem diameter, height of first ramification, plant height and leaf characteristics. The height growth of cv. Aciolina occurred at all levels of fertilization with potash, indicating that the low content of K restricts the growth of the plant height. The components of growth of the cassava plant, stem diameter, height of the first ramification and plant height are positively affected by increasing doses of potassium up to 240 kg ha-1. The width of the sheet, the number of lobes and the relationship between the length of the central lobe width of the central lobe are not affected by the potassium.
