TL;DR: In this paper, a polyvinyl calix[4]arene carboxylic acid resin was synthesized by direct polymerization of calix(4)arene through vinylic groups at upper rim and an ion-exchange resin has been developed by appending carboxyl acid groups onto the resin.

TL;DR: The higher proportion of growing follicles compared to resting follicles observed after xenotransplantation is most likely due to downregulation of PTEN gene expression followed by acceleration of follicular recruitment.
Abstract: To study the influence of xenotransplantation on follicular recruitment and growth in cryopreserved/thawed human ovarian tissue. Two 3-mm pieces of cryopreserved/thawed human ovarian tissue obtained from female cancer patients (n = 11) were xenotransplanted into a subcutaneous neck pouch of 6-week-old ovarectomized SCID mice (n = 33) for 4 (n = 18) and 12 (n = 15) weeks. Thirty-two out of 33 mice survived the entire observation periods. Graft recovery rate was 95.58 % (65 of 68 grafts). The percentages of primordial follicles after 4 weeks (P < 0.001) and 12 weeks (P = 0.009) of grafting were significantly lower in comparison to pregraft controls. The percentage of secondary follicle was significantly higher after 4 weeks of grafting (P = 0.018) and after 12 weeks (P = 0.001) of grafting in comparison to pregraft controls. Ki67 immunohistochemistry showed that proliferative follicles were significantly higher after 4 and 12 weeks of grafting compared to pregraft controls (P < 0.001). All follicles analyzed by TUNEL staining appeared healthy after xenotransplantation. The expression level of PTEN was reduced by 2.47-fold after 4 weeks of xenotransplantation, and this result was significant when 2−ΔCt were analyzed (P = 0.042). The higher proportion of growing follicles compared to resting follicles observed after xenotransplantation is most likely due to downregulation of PTEN gene expression followed by acceleration of follicular recruitment.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the direct and indirect effect of pay satisfaction on turnover intention, which is mediated by affective commitment, and found that turnover intention was significantly predicted by both pay satisfaction ( γ 1 = -0.19, p < 0.05) and affective Commitment (β = −0.77, p > 0.5).
Abstract: One of the antecedents of turnover and turnover intention is job attitude. Among the job attitudes in the organizations, many researchers have focused on satisfaction and organizational commitment as the factors affecting turnover intention. Meta-analysis studies have noted that correlation between turnover intentions is higher relative to its relationship with satisfaction which indicates the possibility of mediation relationship. One facet of satisfaction which is important in predicting turnover intention is pay satisfaction. Only a few studies have been conducted to test the mediation relationship among the variables. This study aimed to examine the direct and indirect effect of pay satisfaction on turnover intention, which is mediated by affective commitment. Instruments used in this study were the Indonesian version of Pay Satisfaction Questionnaire (Heneman & Schwab, 1985), Affective Commitment Scale (Allen & Meyer, 1990), and Turnover Intention Scale, which were delivered to 183 employees of an automotive manufacture company in Indonesia. The data of 150 respondents involved were analyzed using path analysis with latent variables. The result showed that turnover intention was significantly predicted by both pay satisfaction ( γ 1 = -0.19, p < 0.05) and affective commitment ( β = -0.77, p < 0.05), while affective commitment was significantly predicted by pay satisfaction ( γ 2 = 0.32, p < 0.05). The model supported for a partial mediation and that there were both direct and indirect effects of pay satisfaction on turnover. Affective commitment played an effective role in mediating the relationship between pay satisfaction and turnover intention.

TL;DR: In this paper, fixed adsorptive distillation is used to enhance azeotropic IPA-water mixture with an interbed of adsorbent filled of silica gel, and the results show that this method can pass the aizotropic point; the higher the feed composition of column I as well as the high the ratio of flow is, the higher purity of the second column product is.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focus on the participation of the communities in western Dieng in developing tourist villages in their area, and apply action research methods to identify problems in the development of rural tourism, mapping of the potential of rural tourists, and identifying potential inter-agency networking to support sustainable rural tourism in western dieng.
Abstract: Development as a process of life change should involve communities as intergral elements. People should not only be regarded as objects of development. The paradigm of the bottom up planning expects people to act as both the subject and object of development. In the context of the development of rural tourism, the planning process should involve the local communities from the beginning. Dieng Plateau as a tourist site has a diversity of attractions, and tourist-oriented villages are designed by local communities to complement the tourist attractions in Dieng. This Study focuses on the participation of the communities in western Dieng in developing tourist villages in their area.Various stages of the planning are completed collectively and then put into action together. By applying action research methods, this study has the following results: (1) the identi cation of problems in the development of rural tourism, (2) the mapping of the potential of rural tourism, and (3) the identi cation of potential inter-agency networking to support sustainable rural tourism in western Dieng.
