TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on an optical and X-ray study of 16 Galactic sources in the catalog and identify 8 of them as stars, but some or all could have binary companions.
Abstract: The Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) provides an improvement in sensitivity at energies above 10 keV by two orders of magnitude over non-focusing satellites, making it possible to probe deeper into the Galaxy and universe Lansbury and collaborators recently completed a catalog of 497 sources serendipitously detected in the 3–24 keV band using 13 deg^2 of NuSTAR coverage Here, we report on an optical and X-ray study of 16 Galactic sources in the catalog We identify 8 of them as stars (but some or all could have binary companions), and use information from Gaia to report distances and X-ray luminosities for 3 of them There are 4 CVs or CV candidates, and we argue that NuSTAR J233426–23439 is a relatively strong CV candidate based partly on an X-ray spectrum from XMM-Newton NuSTAR J092418–31422, which is the brightest serendipitous source in the Lansbury catalog, and NuSTAR J073959–31478 are low-mass X-ray binary candidates, but it is also possible that these 2 sources are CVs One of the sources is a known high-mass X-ray binary (HMXB), and NuSTAR J105008–59588 is a new HMXB candidate that has strong Balmer emission lines in its optical spectrum and a hard X-ray spectrum We discuss the implications of finding these HMXBs for the surface density (log N–log S) and luminosity function of Galactic HMXBs We conclude that with the large fraction of unclassified sources in the Galactic plane detected by NuSTAR in the 8–24 keV band, there could be a significant population of low-luminosity HMXBs

TL;DR: In this article, the concept of n-Lie-isoclinism on non-Lie Leibniz algebras was introduced and several characterizations of NLI classes were provided.
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the concept of n-Lie-isoclinism on non-Lie Leibniz algebras. Among the results obtained, we provide several characterizations of n-Lie-isoclinic classes of Leibniz algeb...

TL;DR: This paper pointed out that econometrics courses often do not align with modern empirical approaches employed by economists and called for a pedagogical paradigm shift by pointing out that the econometric courses often did not align well with modern empirically grounded approaches.
Abstract: Angrist and Pischke (2017) call for a pedagogical paradigm shift by pointing out that econometrics courses often do not align with modern empirical approaches employed by economists. This article's...

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the validity of a measure of personality constructs for the selection of operating employees in the textile industry and found that two personality dimensions measured by the test were significantly related to employee performance.
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity of a measure of personality constructs for the selection of operating employees in the textile industry. A commercial paper-and-pencil test measuring ten personality dimensions was used. Two measures of performance were obtained: an objective measure of performance based on individual output, and subjective ratings of performance by supervisors. The results indicated that two personality dimensions measured by the test were significantly related to employee performance. The results are discussed in relation to the potential of personality dimensions for predicting employee performance.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors address various antecedents of managerial action or inaction in response to an attempted transfer by a current human resource manager. But they do not address the role of human resources in the attempted transfer.
Abstract: Internal job transfers are an understudied human resource practice. This paper addresses various antecedents of managerial action or inaction in response to an attempted transfer by a current emplo...
