TL;DR: Using both analysis and extensive simulations, it is shown that the proposed dynamic routing help achieve the desired system performance under the dynamically changing network conditions.
Abstract: In Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), the sensors have limitations like energy-constrained nodes, unreliable links, and frequent topology change. In this paper we are trying to propose a routing protocol, which gives better results than any other conventional protocols. The protocol based on Logical Network Abridgement (LNA), used to measure the underlying path diversity and intrinsic network resiliency to congestion, failures and attacks. The proposed protocol focuses on vulnerability index and energy awareness of the node. Using both analysis and extensive simulations, we show that the proposed dynamic routing help achieve the desired system performance under the dynamically changing network conditions.

TL;DR: The proposed technique uses Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform based features of video frames for the purpose of shot change detection, key frame selection and video indexing, and uses correlation based distance metric as it produced better results for this kind of feature similarity.
Abstract: — In this paper a novel technique of content based video retrieval is presented. The proposed technique uses Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCWT) based features of video frames for the purpose of shot change detection, key frame selection and video indexing. For shot change detection consecutive frame difference is computed, shot change is reported when the difference exceeds a certain threshold. For keyframe selection a frame is to be selected which is not part of shot transition using k-mean clustering of DTCWT feature vectors. Video shots are indexed using DTCWT features of the selected keyframes. Video query is processed by comparing the features of shot with the features database of the shots. For the purpose of features similarity we have used correlation based distance metric as it produced better results for this kind of feature similarity. The results are compared the results with classical techniques and it is shown how dual tree complex wavelet transform based features performed better. The whole framework uses similar kind of feature which makes it simple and efficient.— CBVR, Video Indexing, Shot Boundaries, Key Frames

TL;DR: In this paper, a meshless method of lines (MOL) is applied for the numerical solution of nonlinear sine-Gordon equations, which does not require a mesh in the problem domain, and only a set of scattered nodes provided by initial data is required for the solution of the problem using some radial basis functions.
Abstract: In this paper, a meshless method of lines (MOL) is applied for the numerical solution of nonlinear sine-Gordon equations. This technique does not require a mesh in the problem domain, and only a set of scattered nodes provided by initial data is required for the solution of the problem using some radial basis functions (RBF). The scheme is tested for single solitons, collision of breathers and soliton doublets. The results obtained from the method are compared with the exact solutions and earlier work. doi: 10.14456/WJST.2014.49

TL;DR: In this paper, a microscopic calculation of the decay rates of key titanium isotopes in stellar environment was performed using the proton-neutron quasiparticle random phase approximation (pn-QRPA) theory.
Abstract: Amongst iron regime nuclei, β-decay rates on titanium isotopes are considered to be important during the late phases of evolution of massive stars. The key β-decay isotopes during presupernova evolution were searched from available literature and a microscopic calculation of the decay rates were performed using the proton–neutron quasiparticle random phase approximation (pn-QRPA) theory. As per earlier simulation results, electron capture and β-decay on certain isotopes of titanium are considered to be important for the presupernova evolution of massive stars. Earlier the stellar electron capture rates and neutrino energy loss rates due to relevant titanium isotopes were presented. In this paper we finally present the β-decay rates of key titanium isotopes in stellar environment. The results are also compared against previous calculations. The pn-QRPA β-decay rates are bigger at high stellar temperatures and smaller at high stellar densities compared to the large scale shell model results. This study can prove useful for the core-collapse simulators.

TL;DR: In this paper, the experimental investigation of photovoltaic module with compound parabolic concentrator has been carried out to increase the electrical power of the module, and the experimental results show that the power of proposed system is 1.32 times more than that of the conventional PV module.
Abstract: Photovoltaic module, used to convert solar energy into electrical energy, is not popular among common people due to its low electrical output. This paper presents the experimental investigation of photovoltaic module with Compound Parabolic Concentrator. Proposed system has one major objective i.e., to increase the electrical power of photovoltaic module. The experimental results (taken in winter at GIK Institute) show that electrical power of proposed system is 1.32 times more than photovoltaic module. Proposed system is simple, so conventional photovoltaic system can be easily upgraded to subject design in order to increase the electrical power. This system can be used for large photovoltaic applications.
