TL;DR: Leaf pubescence and relative humidity affected oviposition; fewer eggs were deposited on lightly pubescent leaves, and eggs were more evenly distributed on both leaf surfaces when the relative humidity was increased to 100%.
Abstract: The biology of T. evansi Baker & Pritchard (Acarina: Tetranychidae) was studied in the laboratory at 23.3 ± 1°C and 40–50% relative humidity, using Solarium douglasii Dunal as the host plant. The different life stages are briefly described, illustrated, and their measurements are given. The incubation period averaged 65.2, larval period 42.8, protonymph 42.7, and deutonymph 64.2 hours. The total time from egg to adult averaged 8.9 days. Time spent in copulation averaged 1¼ min. The preoviposition period averaged 21 hr and 37 min. Oviposition began the day after copulation and reached a peak on the 4th day with an average of 18.1 eggs per female. Fertilized females averaged 163.7 eggs in 26.7 days. Virgin females averaged 105.1 eggs in 33.1 days; only males emerged. Fertilized females lived an average 26.2 days, unfertilized females 34.5 days, and males 24.7 days. Females laid 86.8% of their eggs on the lower leaf surface. Leaf pubescence and relative humidity affected oviposition; fewer eggs were deposited on lightly pubescent leaves, and eggs were more evenly distributed on both leaf surfaces when the relative humidity was increased to 100%.

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure, conformational stability, geometry optimisation and vibrational frequencies of nicorandil have been investigated using restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set.
Abstract: Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectra of nicorandil have been recorded. The structure, conformational stability, geometry optimisation and vibrational frequencies have been investigated. Complete vibrational assignments were made for the stable conformer of the molecule using restricted Hartree–Fock (RHF) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations (B3LYP) with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set. Comparison of the observed fundamental vibrational frequencies of the molecule and calculated results by RHF and DFT methods indicates that B3LYP is superior for molecular vibrational problems. The thermodynamic functions of the title molecule were also performed using the RHF and DFT methods. Natural bond order analysis of the title molecule was also carried out. Comparison of the simulated spectra with the experimental spectra provides important information about the ability of the computational method to describe the vibration modes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the transmission probability, compound nucleus formation probability, and survival probability of possible projectile-target combinations for heavy-ion fusion experiments in the synthesis of 289-297Ts were analyzed.
Abstract: As a part of a systematic study for predicting the most suitable projectile-target combinations for heavy-ion fusion experiments in the synthesis of 289-297Ts, we have calculated the transmission probability ( $ T_{l}$ ), compound nucleus formation probabilities ( $ P_{CN}$ ) and survival probability ( $ P_{sur}$ ) of possible projectile-target combinations. We have also studied the fusion cross section, survival cross section and fission cross sections for different projectile-target combination of 289-297Ts. These theoretical parameters are required before the synthesis of the super heavy element. The calculated probabilities and cross sections show that the production of isotopes of the super heavy element with Z = 117 is strongly dependent on the reaction systems. The most probable reactions to synthetize the super heavy nuclei 289-297Ts are worked out and listed explicitly. We have also studied the variation of $ P_{CN}$ and $ P_{sur}$ with the mass number of projectile and target nuclei. This work is useful in the synthesis of the super heavy element Z = 117.

TL;DR: Simulation results show that the fuzzy based multi-attribute trust evaluation outperforms weighted summation basedMulti- attribute trust evaluation.
Abstract: Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are used in many applications nowadays, because of its extensive usage. Due to the distinct characteristics, they are vulnerable to many attacks. To secure WSN, trust management plays a pertinent role. In trust based security model, decision is taken based on some specific behavior, and so it has uncertainty. Fuzzy logic deals with uncertainty and has tolerance of imprecise data with high power of precision. In this study, fuzzy logic based multi-attribute trust model is suggested. The proposed trust model has message success rate, elapsed time at node, correctness and fairness as trust metrics. Once the four trust values are calculated, fuzzy computational theory is applied to compute the final trust value of every node that can be anyone of low (l), medium (m) and high (h). Simulation results show that the fuzzy based multi-attribute trust evaluation outperforms weighted summation based multi-attribute trust evaluation.
