TL;DR: The absorption and fluorescence spectra of 1,5-DAAQ have been investigated in organic solvents-Benzene(BZ), Ethanol (ETOH), Acetonitrile (AN), Dimethylformamide (DMF) and Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO).
Abstract: The absorption and fluorescence spectra of 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone(1,5-DAAQ) have been investigated in organic solvents-Benzene(BZ), Ethanol (ETOH), Acetonitrile (AN), Dimethylformamide (DMF) and Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). There is an intra molecular hydrogen bond formed between quinoid oxygen and the substituents NH(2) [C = O...H-N]. The interaction of the hydrogen atom of - NH(2) leads to red shift in both absorption and fluorescence spectra. The dipole moment ratio of 1,5 DAAQ in ground and excited states was calculated from stokes shift obtained from optical absorption and fluorescence spectra. Photo physical properties of 1,5-DAAQ dye was studied using this absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy techniques in binary liquid mixtures(AN + DMF, AN + DMSO, AN + ETOH and BZ + ETOH).

TL;DR: The addition of germinated chickpea flour from two cultivars (GNG 1581 and GNG469) in gluten free noodles significantly increased storage and loss modulus as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Physicochemical, rheological, in vitro digestibility, and sensory characteristics of the gluten-free noodles made of pregelatinized rice flour incorporated with germinated chickpea flours (5, 10, 20 and 30 g/100 g) were investigated. The addition of germinated chickpea flour from two cultivars (GNG 1581 and GNG469) in gluten free noodles significantly (p Gʺ) with an increase in storage and loss modulus. Protein bands ranged from 10 to 250 kDa with a difference in band intensities observed in gluten free noodles. In sensory evaluation, overall acceptance of noodles containing germinated chickpea flour was highest at 20 g/100 g level of incorporation and was acceptable up to 30 g/100 g level of chickpea flour incorporation.

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanical and dynamic mechanical properties of isotactic polypropylene/high density polyethylene (PP/HDPE) blends, as a function of blend ratio and compatibiliser concentration were analyzed.
Abstract: The mechanical and dynamic mechanical properties of isotactic polypropylene/high density polyethylene (PP/HDPE) blends, as a function of blend ratio and compatibiliser concentration were analysed. Ethylene propylene random copolymers (EPDM) with three different monomer fractions were used as compatibilisers. Compatibilisation improved the mechanical properties (except Young’s modulus) of the blends, considerably. The compatibiliser with 1:1 monomer fraction was found to be most efficient. A detailed discussion on the fundamental reasons responsible for the deterioration of properties in the absence of compatibilisers and the improvement of properties in the presence of compatibilisers was presented. The tensile strength of the uncompatibilised blends was theoretically modelled using Nielsen’s and Nicolais-Narkis models. The Young’s and storage moduli of uncompatibilised blends were compared with those predicted by various theoretical models. Attention was paid to correlate the mechanical properties of both compatibilised and uncompatibilised blends with their phase morphology.
