TL;DR: It is shown that there exists three plane waves, namely, thermal wave, P wave and SV wave, and reflection from insulated stress-free surface is studied to obtain the reflection coefficients of the reflected waves for the incidence of thermal wave.

TL;DR: In this paper, aqueous solution of silver nitrate with C. angustifolia (senna) extract was used for the environmentally friendly synthesis of silver nanoparticles, which exhibited good antibacterial potential against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
Abstract: In this study Cassia angustifolia (senna) is used for the environmentally friendly synthesis of silver nanoparticles. Stable silver nanoparticles having symmetric surface plasmon resonance (SPR) band centred at 420nm were obtained within 10min at room temperature by treating aqueous solutions of silver nitrate with C. angustifolia leaf extract. The water soluble components from the leaves, probably the sennosides, served as both reducing and capping agents in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The nanoparticles were characterized using UV‐Vis, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic techniques and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The nanoparticles were poly-dispersed, spherical in shape with particle size in the range 9‐31nm, the average size was found to be 21.6nm at pH 11. The zeta potential was ‐36.4mV and the particles were stable for 6 months. The crystalline phase of the nanoparticles was confirmed from the selected area diffraction pattern (SAED). The rate of formation and size of silver nanoparticles were pH dependent. Functional groups responsible for capping of silver nanoparticles were identified from the FTIR spectrum. The synthesized silver nanoparticles exhibited good antibacterial potential against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

TL;DR: Hetermoreversible intranasal gel of zolmitriptan-loaded nanoethosomes was formulated by using mucoadhesive polymers to increase the residence of the drug into the nasal cavity to be a solution to the existing problems of migraine.
Abstract: Zolmitriptan is the drug of choice for migraine, but low oral bioavailability (<50%) and recurrence of migraine lead to frequent dosing and increase in associated side effects. Increase in the residence time of drug at the site of drug absorption along with direct nose to brain targeting of zolmitriptan can be a solution to the existing problems. Hence, in the present investigation, thermoreversible intranasal gel of zolmitriptan-loaded nanoethosomes was formulated by using mucoadhesive polymers to increase the residence of the drug into the nasal cavity. The preparation of ethosomes was optimized by using 32 factorial design for percent drug entrapment efficiency, vesicle size, zeta potential, and polydispersity index. Optimized formulation E6 showed the vesicle size (171.67 nm) and entrapment efficiency (66%) when compared with the other formulations. Thermoreversible gels prepared by using poloxamer 407 showed the phase transition temperature at 32–33 °C which was in line with the nasal physiol...

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of heat treatment on friction and abrasive wear behavior of WC-12Co and Cr3C2-25NiCr coatings was investigated and the authors rationalized the friction behavior of heat treated coatings on the basis of relative contribution of mechanical wear and oxidative wear.
