TL;DR: He-Ne laser and monochromatic red light biostimulation seem to cause an increase in the levels of serum cholinesterase and proteins, and a general stimulation of protein metabolism, and serum glucose levels also increased after both techniques - inversely proportionate with the dose - whereas in the control groups it decreased during the experiment.
Abstract: We studied the changes occurring in the metabolism of proteins (serum cholinesterase, total proteins) and glycosides (serum glucose) in Cavia cobaia. The result of this simple blind study was evaluated on the first, tenth and twentieth days of treatment. A Duncan test was used for the graphical and statistical analysis of data. The technique and treatment doses were similar for all groups, laser treated, red light treated, and controls. In the groups treated with He-Ne laser, serum cholinesterase levels increased proportionately with the dose, reaching a peak on day 10, which was not the case with the controls. Monochromatic red light caused a similar but quantitatively lower effect. The same results were obtained in the case of serum proteins, however the effect did not depend on the dose, and it was less statistically significant than in the case of serum cholinesterase, both in laser treated and monochromatic red light treated groups. Serum glucose levels increased after He-Ne laser biostimulation in inverse proportion to the dose. The same effect was obtained in the case of monochromatic red light biostimulation. Serum glucose levels decreased in the control groups. He-Ne laser and monochromatic red light biostimulation seem to cause an increase in the levels of serum cholinesterase and proteins, and a general stimulation of protein metabolism. Serum glucose levels also increased after both techniques - inversely proportionate with the dose - whereas in the control groups it decreased during the experiment.

TL;DR: Higher levels of physical activity by pregnant women are associated with improved breastfeeding outcomes, and women with increased levels ofphysical activity have higher rates of breastfeeding at twelve months, compared to the lowest level.
Abstract: Physical activity is important for health, but little is known about associations between physical activity during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The aim of this study was to investigate any association between antenatal physical activity and breastfeeding duration. A prospective cohort of 2030 Vietnamese women, recruited between 24 and 28 week-gestation was followed up to twelve months postpartum. Physical activity was determined using the pregnancy physical activity questionnaire at baseline interview. Data was available for 1715 participants at 12 months, a 15.5% attrition rate. At 12 months 71.8% of mothers were still breastfeeding. A total of 20.9% women met physical activity targets and those mothers undertaking higher levels of physical activity had a lower risk of breastfeeding cessation by twelve months [hazard ratios HR = 0.59 (95% CI 0.47-0.74), p < 0.001, and HR = 0.74 (0.60-0.92), p = 0.006; respectively] when compared to the lowest tertile. Similarly, women with increased levels of physical activity have higher rates of breastfeeding at twelve months, compared to the lowest level [odds ratio OR = 1.71 (95% CI 1.29-2.25) and 1.38 (1.06-1.79)]. Higher levels of physical activity by pregnant women are associated with improved breastfeeding outcomes.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors modified the Ti6Al4V surface, with an initial micro rough topography, by using electrochemical anodization in 1M H3PO4 + 0.5 wt% HF electrolyte.
Abstract: Ti6Al4V alloy is widely used for biomedical implants, and the modification of its surface, at nanoscale level, is a method to enhance its osseointegration. We modified the Ti6Al4V surface, with an initial micro rough topography, by using electrochemical anodization in 1M H3PO4 + 0.5 wt% HF electrolyte, and anodization potential of 20 V. By using short anodization duration, 5 min, or 15 min, the oxide layer presents a nanoporous morphology, and do not cover the entire surface. At an anodization time of 30 min, our results demonstrate the synthesis of continuous, highly ordered nanotubular TiO2 layer (diameter of nanotubes: 25-90 nm, thickness of the layer: 350-450 nm), superimposed over a micro rough topography, the oxide layer exhibiting a good adherence to the substrate, coherence and no brittleness. Anodization time of 2 hours provides the results very similar with those obtained at 30 min in terms of nanotubular layer topography, but some drawbacks appear in terms of surface coverage and continuity of the layer.
