TL;DR: The simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed new design approach to synchronization control for the fractional-order chaotic system subject to input saturation and external unknown disturbances.
Abstract: This brief studies the synchronization control for the fractional-order chaotic system subject to input saturation and external unknown disturbances. To handle unknown disturbances, a disturbance observer is designed for the fractional-order chaotic system. A disturbance-observer-based synchronization control scheme is then developed. Under the synchronization control, the asymptotically convergent synchronization errors between two fractional-order chaotic systems can be achieved. The simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed new design approach.

TL;DR: In this paper, a ternary heterojunction photocatalytic degradation ratio of 2,4-dichlorophenol reaches 99.2% under visible light irradiation.
Abstract: Plasmon Ag nanoparticle/Bi2S3 ultrathin nanobelt/oxygen-doped flower-like MoS2 nanosphere ternary heterojunction photocatalysts are fabricated via hydrothermal and photoreduction strategies. The introduction of Ag nanoparticles and defective MoS2 and the formation of heterojunctions can induce localized surface plasmon resonance and promote charge separation, respectively, which can extend the photoresponse to the visible light and near-infrared regions and obviously enhance the photothermal and photocatalytic performances. The ternary heterojunction photocatalysts show that the photocatalytic degradation ratio of 2,4-dichlorophenol reaches 99.2% under visible light irradiation. In addition, the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate reaches 526.3 μmol h−1 g−1, which is several times higher than that of pristine MoS2 and Bi2S3. This study offers a new strategy for designing other highly efficient heterojunction photocatalysts. In addition, these ternary heterojunctions show high stability, which is favorable for practical applications in the environmental and energy fields.

TL;DR: Experimental results indicate that the proposed methods can significantly improve the recognition accuracy and reliability compared to the previous hand vein recognition methods.
Abstract: As a kind of biometric feature authentication system, hand vein recognition has more merits than others. So it has a vast foreground. In this paper, a new algorithm based on multi supplemental features of multi-classifier fusion decision is proposed. It overcomes the disadvantages of the single feature recognition. Experimental results indicate that the proposed methods can significantly improve the recognition accuracy and reliability compared to the previous hand vein recognition.

TL;DR: In this paper, a fibrous-structured bifunctional (magnetic and mesoporous) Fe3O4/silica microsphere was successfully synthesized through a simple and economical self-assembled process in which hydrophobic 9 nm-Fe3O 4nanocrystals were directly used without modifications.
Abstract: A novel, fibrous-structured bifunctional (magnetic and mesoporous) Fe3O4/silica microsphere was successfully synthesized through a simple and economical self-assembled process in which hydrophobic 9 nm-Fe3O4nanocrystals were directly used without modifications. The obtained material is performed as a drug delivery carrier to investigate the in vitro and intracellular delivery properties of doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX). X-Ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), N2adsorption/desorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) were employed to characterize the composite. The results reveal that the novel composite exhibits typical mesoporous structure, narrow size distribution, good monodispersity, and superparamagnetic features. Notably, confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) images indicate that the DOX-loaded sample could deliver DOX into the nuclei of HeLa cells to kill cells. Also, MTT assay confirms that the DOX-loaded sample leads to pronounced and efficient cytotoxic effects to L929 fibroblast cells, even similar to that of free DOX at high concentrations, whereas the pure material is non-toxic. Therefore, the novel material is expected to have potential application for targeted cancer therapy.
