TL;DR: The different high frequency signal injection schemes, fundamental pulsewidth modulation excitation methods, and model-based sensorless control are displayed and compared, which are able to facilitate the sensorless Control implementation.
Abstract: Owing to the competitive advantages of cost reduction, system downsizing, and reliability enhancement, position sensorless control methods for permanent magnet synchronous machine drives have drawn increasing attention from academia to industrial applications. In this article, a survey of the major sensorless control techniques for a wide speed range from low to high speeds is presented. The different high frequency signal injection schemes, fundamental pulsewidth modulation excitation methods, and model-based sensorless control are displayed and compared, which is able to facilitate the sensorless control implementation.

TL;DR: The present BNNSs possess the properties complementary to carbon nanosheets such as intrinsically semiconducting, high temperature stability, and high chemical inertness and may find applications in ultraviolet nanoelectronics, catalyst supports, electron field emission, and self-cleaning coatings, etc., especially those working at high temperature and in harsh environments.
Abstract: Boron nitride (BN) is a promising semiconductor with a wide band gap (∼6 eV). Here, we report the synthesis of vertically aligned BN nanosheets (BNNSs) on silicon substrates by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition from a gas mixture of BF3−N2−H2. The size, shape, thickness, density, and alignment of the BNNSs were well-controlled by appropriately changing the growth conditions. With changing the gas flow rates of BF3 and H2 as well as their ratio, the BNNSs evolve from three-dimensional with branches to two-dimensional with smooth surface and their thickness changes from 20 to below 5 nm. The growth of the BNNSs rather than uniform granular films is attributed to the particular chemical properties of the gas system, mainly the strong etching effect of fluorine. The alignment of the BNNSs is possibly induced by the electrical field generated in plasma sheath. Strong UV light emission with a broad band ranging from 200 to 400 nm and superhydrophobicity with contact angles over 150° were obtained for t...

TL;DR: It is reported that poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) acts as both a reducing agent and a stabilizer to prepare soluble graphene nanosheets from graphite oxide to open up a new possibility for preparing graphene and graphene-based nanomaterials for large-scale applications.
Abstract: Here we report that poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) acts as both a reducing agent and a stabilizer to prepare soluble graphene nanosheets from graphite oxide. The results of transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and Fourier transform infrared indicated that graphite oxide was successfully reduced to graphene nanosheets which exhibited single-layer structure and high dispersion in various solvents. The reaction mechanism for PDDA-induced reduction of exfoliated graphite oxide was proposed. Furthermore, PDDA facilitated the in situ growth of highly dispersed Pt nanoparticles on the surface of graphene nanosheets to form Pt/graphene nanocomposites, which exhibited excellent catalytic activity toward formic acid oxidation. This work presents a facile and environmentally friendly approach to the synthesis of graphene nanosheets and opens up a new possibility for preparing graphene and graphene-based nanomaterials for large-...
