TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of holomorphic functions defined on any open convex subset, whose partial sums of the Taylor developments approximate uniformly any complex polynomial on any convex compact set disjoint from, and on denumerably many sets in which may meet the boundary, is proved.
Abstract: We prove the existence of holomorphic functions defined on any open convex subset, whose partial sums of the Taylor developments approximate uniformly any complex polynomial on any convex compact set disjoint from , and on denumerably many convex compact sets in which may meet the boundary . If the universal approximation is only required on convex compact sets disjoint from, then may be chosen to be smooth on , that is . Those are generic universalities.

TL;DR: The conjugation of rimantadine with glycine illustrated high antiviral activity combined with low cytotoxicity, and this compound presented a profoundly high stability after in vitro incubation in human plasma for 24 h.
Abstract: A series of nineteen amino acid analogues of amantadine (Amt) and rimantadine (Rim) were synthesized and their antiviral activity was evaluated against influenza virus A (H3N2). Among these analogues, the conjugation of rimantadine with glycine illustrated high antiviral activity combined with low cytotoxicity. Moreover, this compound presented a profoundly high stability after in vitro incubation in human plasma for 24 h. Its thermal stability was established using differential and gravimetric thermal analysis. The crystal structure of glycyl-rimantadine revealed that it crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbca space group. The structure–activity relationship for this class of compounds was established, with CoMFA (Comparative Molecular Field Analysis) 3D-Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships (3D-QSAR) studies predicting the activities of synthetic molecules. In addition, molecular docking studies were conducted, revealing the structural requirements for the activity of the synthetic molecules.

TL;DR: In this article, a class of unitary operators of L2(R) contained in the commutant of the Shift operator is defined, such that for any pair of multiresolution analyses of L 2(R), there exists a unitary operator in one of these classes, which maps all the scaling functions of the first analysis to the scaling function of the second analysis.
Abstract: This article provides classes of unitary operators of L2(R) contained in the commutant of the Shift operator, such that for any pair of multiresolution analyses of L2(R) there exists a unitary operator in one of these classes, which maps all the scaling functions of the first multiresolution analysis to scaling functions of the other. We use these unitary operators to provide an interesting class of scaling functions. We show that the Dai-Larson unitary parametrization of orthonormal wavelets is not suitable for the study of scaling functions. These operators give an interesting relation between low-pass filters corresponding to scaling functions, which is implemented by a special class of unitary operators acting on L2([−π, π)), which we characterize. Using this characterization we recapture Daubechies' orthonormal wavelets bypassing the spectral factorization process.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an overview of the motivations, motivazioni, and scopo di chi contribuisce alla VGI, i.e., l'origine, la motivazione, le tipologie, and l'occasione.
Abstract: Oggi la Volunteer Geographic Information (VGI) e onnipresente.

TL;DR: Nepalensinol B and Miyabenol A as discussed by the authors are analogs of Ampelopsin H, a compound that blocks the formation of TNF active trimer.
Abstract: Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is a regulator of several chronic inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis. Although anti-TNF biologics have been used in clinic, they render several drawbacks, such as patients’ progressive immunodeficiency and loss of response, high cost, and intravenous administration. In order to find new potential anti-TNF small molecule inhibitors, we employed an in silico approach, aiming to find natural products, analogs of Ampelopsin H, a compound that blocks the formation of TNF active trimer. Two out of nine commercially available compounds tested, Nepalensinol B and Miyabenol A, efficiently reduced TNF-induced cytotoxicity in L929 cells and production of chemokines in mice joints’ synovial fibroblasts, while Nepalensinol B also abolished TNF-TNFR1 binding in non-toxic concentrations. The binding mode of the compounds was further investigated by molecular dynamics and free energy calculation studies, using and advancing the Enalos Asclepios pipeline. Conclusively, we propose that Nepalensinol B, characterized by the lowest free energy of binding and by a higher number of hydrogen bonds with TNF, qualifies as a potential lead compound for TNF inhibitors’ drug development. Finally, the upgraded Enalos Asclepios pipeline can be used for improved identification of new therapeutics against TNF-mediated chronic inflammatory diseases, providing state-of-the-art insight on their binding mode.
