TL;DR: In this paper, a solution is proposed that will help to enhance the reuse and recycling of the ECs obtained from the printed circuit board (PCB) and further testing methods has been discussed.
Abstract: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipments (WEEE) is the fastest growing waste stream in the world. In 2014, a total amount of 41.8 metric kilotonnes of WEEE was generated globally. There are two main parts of a WEEE – a) The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and b) The Casing i.e. the polymer and/or metal portion that covers the PCB. PCBs contain a lot of components like resistors, transistors, microcontrollers, integrated circuits etc. Once a Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) becomes obsolete; Electronic Components (EC) in the PCB remains unaltered. These ECs can be reused based on their status. In most of the cases, the PCBs end up in the informal sector that employs open burning, acid leaching etc to recover valuable metals from it and the residues end up in landfill which is a malpractice. In this work, two case has been considered – a) Small WEEE (mouse, speakers, headphones, mobile, radio, wires etc) and b) Large WEEE (Laptop, desktops, TV, printer etc). PCBs from these two types of WEEE have been examined. A solution is proposed that will help to enhance the reuse and recycling of the ECs obtained from the PCBs. The proper technique for de-soldering of ECs from the PCB and further testing methods has been discussed. Proper recycling routes of the unusable ECs have also been suggested. Finally, a novel framework has been proposed that will enhance the EC reusability and recycling. The findings will help the stakeholders in decision making, the researchers in considering future research direction and overall a sustainable future for both semiconductor and electronics industry.

TL;DR: The final analysis on the speed-torque characteristics for the designed Brushless DC motor show quite satisfactory output for varying (0-20 N-m) load torque applications.
Abstract: This paper presents a mathematical model of a three-phase Brushless DC motor based on precise speed control methodology with ideal Back EMF on MATLAB/Simulink platform. In this scheme, equivalent output of three hall sensors determine the rotor position at any instant of time and accordingly switch the six step inverter to drive the motor. The model is based on phase voltage and electromagnetic torque equation. Further analysis has been carried out with transfer function to achieve desired level of performance. Moreover, the ideal Back EMF is also derived from mechanical speed and mechanical angle of the rotor. A wide variation of speed control is accomplished with a PI controller due to its simple control structure and ease of implementation. The final analysis on the speed-torque characteristics for the designed Brushless DC motor show quite satisfactory output for varying (0-20 N-m) load torque applications.

TL;DR: For the first time the mathematical and graphical representations of different types of measures in trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy environment are defined in this paper and a new method for solving an intuitionists fuzzy CCM using chance operators is proposed.
Abstract: Corresponding to chance constraints, real-life possibility, necessity, and credibility measures on intuitionistic fuzzy set are defined. For the first time the mathematical and graphical representations of different types of measures in trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy environment are defined in this paper. We have developed intuitionistic fuzzy chance constraints model (CCM) based on possibility and necessity measures. We have also proposed a new method for solving an intuitionistic fuzzy CCM using chance operators. To validate the proposed method, we have discussed three different approaches to solve the intuitionistic fuzzy linear programming (IFLPP) using possibility, necessity and credibility measures. Numerical and graphical representations of optimal solutions of the given example at different possibility and necessity, levels have been discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-item two-warehouse deterministic inventory model for deteriorating items with stock-dependent demand has been developed, where possibility, necessity, and credibility measures play a significant role to measure the chances of occurrence of fuzzy events.
Abstract: Possibility, necessity, and credibility measures play a significant role to measure the chances of occurrence of fuzzy events. In this paper, possibility, necessity, and credibility measures of exponential fuzzy number, and its expected value has been derived. A multi-item two-warehouse deterministic inventory model for deteriorating items with stock-dependent demand has been developed. For the proposed inventory model, the different costs and other parameters are considered in exponential fuzzy nature. Solution methodology of this model using expected value has been discussed. A numerical example is considered to illustrate the multi-item two-warehouse deterministic inventory model. Finally, few sensitivity analyses are presented under different rates of deterioration to check the validity of the proposed model.
