TL;DR: A thorough investigation on popular web-based and mobile applications currently being used in different countries for disaster management and its effectiveness as a provider of significant actionable information to offer responsive services is provided.
Abstract: Getting the right information at the right time and place is the key for efficient disaster management. Various mobile and web applications are now being used for collecting situational information in digital form, assessing damage, coordinating relief operations and offering different location based services to the affected communities during disaster management. This article provides a thorough investigation on popular web-based and mobile applications currently being used in different countries. Subsequently, the taxonomy of essential services needed for systematic and coordinated disaster management is formulated based on literature review and the authors' interaction with different stakeholders. An outline of a collaborative disaster management service framework is then proposed with the facility of interaction for the stakeholders through their mobile phones to avail the services in different phases of a disaster. A basic version of this framework is implemented to evaluate its effectiveness as a provider of significant actionable information to offer responsive services

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyse the possibility of using the two-qubit output state from the Buzek-Hillery quantum copying machine (not necessarily a universal quantum cloning machine) as a teleportation channel.
Abstract: We analyse the possibility of using the two-qubit output state from the Buzek–Hillery quantum copying machine (not necessarily a universal quantum cloning machine) as a teleportation channel We show that there is a range of values of the machine parameter ξ for which the two-qubit output state is entangled and violates the Bell-CHSH inequality and for a different range it remains entangled but does not violate the Bell-CHSH inequality Further, we observe that for certain values of the machine parameter the two-qubit mixed state can be used as a teleportation channel The use of the output state from the Buzek–Hillery cloning machine as a teleportation channel provides an additional appeal to the cloning machine and motivation for our present work

TL;DR: In this paper, the underlap double gate NMOSFETs with gate stack (GS) under the influence of high-k spacers are studied on the basis of parameters like transconductance (gm), transconductances generation factor (gm/Id) and intrinsic gain (gmro).

TL;DR: A suitable model based on nonhomogeneous Poisson point process (NHPPP) is designed for heterogeneous wireless network (HetNet) consisting of two‐tiers eNodeBs (Macro and Small Cell), where each of the tiers is differentiated in terms of transmitting power, eNodeB density, and supported data rate.
Abstract: Massive boost in data traffic demand and inconsistent user's behavior have necessitated modern cellular networks to evolve toward heterogeneous architectural framework consisting of macro ...
