TL;DR: The design of a novel finite-time robust nonlinear controller for the synchronization of two identical chaotic spacecraft and the effects of the exogenous disturbances and the controller parameter’s slowly smooth variations on the closed-loop performance are studied.
Abstract: This article reports the design of a novel finite-time robust nonlinear controller for the synchronization of two identical chaotic spacecraft. The proposed controller does not cancel nonlinear ter...

TL;DR: A smart city is defined as a one that provides solutions to rapid urbanization, exploding population, scarce resources, congested traffic, and energy management through the effective and integrated use of information and communication technology.
Abstract: A smart city is defined as a one that provides solutions to rapid urbanization, exploding population, scarce resources, congested traffic, and energy management through the effective and integrated use of information and communication technology. The conceptualization, integration, and implementation of smart cities have been recognized and seen as a means to optimize the limited resources and improve the quality of human lives. The smart cities planning, designing, and development have been affected due to big data storage, big data governance, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. The smart cities’ solutions cover different themes of varying importance such as smart health, smart education, intelligent transportation, smart energy, smart governance, etc. The emerging technologies are the one which are presently under development or might be developed in the future, and which can have a wide impact on research, business, and social lives. The emerging technologies are the groups of technologies that have been partially explored, continuously evolving, and under development such as, IoT, big data, machine learning (ML), social network, and cloud computing. The emerging technologies have created renewed interest in smart cities’ solutions. The smart cities’ progress and advancement are the results of the successful exploitation of emerging technologies.

TL;DR: In this paper, numerical simulations on buoyant thermal transfer inside the finite porous cylindrical annular region with a thin circular baffle attached to inner cylinder were performed to provide a detailed impact of baffle on flow and heat transport rates.
Abstract: This paper reports the numerical simulations on buoyant thermal transfer inside the finite porous cylindrical annular region with a thin circular baffle attached to inner cylinder. The main objective of this investigation is to provide a detailed impact of baffle on flow and heat transport rates due to the direct relevance of this problem to the design of heat exchangers. The side walls of annular enclosure are maintained at uniform, but different temperatures, while the top and bottom walls are insulated. The Brinkman-extended Darcy model is adopted for the momentum equations, and simulations of the governing PDEs are performed using the ADI and SLOR algorithms. The predictions from the present simulations detected that the size and position of baffle has predominant impact on buoyant flow and thermal transport characteristics. It has been detected that the thermal dissipation rates could be enhanced by positioning the baffle near the upper boundary, while increasing the baffle length leads to the reduction of thermal transport. The size and location of baffle emerges out as an important quantity in regulating the global thermal transfer through modifying the flow regimes in the annular geometry. Interestingly, the magnitude of flow circulation enhances with an increase in Rayleigh and Darcy numbers for any baffle length and position.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mobile robot with vex microcontroller and Arduino microcontroller with pixy camera is designed to detect and display the fault in gas pipes and water tubes, and the robot can move in all directions by using omni-directional wheels and can also enter the pipes.
Abstract: The provision of resources via pipeline is critical in a modern and urban lifestyle. Because this is a man-made structure, many flaws occur, resulting in numerous deadly injuries. As a result, humans created and created numerous devices that aid in the detection of such flaws and errors and one of these devices is the robot. This robot could detect water tubes leakage, gas pipes leakage and corrosion in the pipes with its camera, and the robot can move in all directions by using omni-directional wheels and can also enter the pipes. In this paper a mobile robot with vex microcontroller and Arduino microcontroller with pixy camera is designed to detect and display the fault in gas pipes and water tubes.
