Abstract: Biodiesel is considered as alternative green fuels that can be used in Internal Combustion engines as a replacement fuel for conventional diesel. Biodiesel is extracted from vegetable and animal sources which are rich in triglycerides. In this work, an attempt has been made to obtain and characterize the biodiesel from animal wastes such as chicken skin and pig tallow which are available in abundance and at an economical cost within the authors’ geographical location. Initially, the feedstock is decontaminated and subjected to conventional heating to convert it into fatty oil. Heating is carried out at different temperatures and for varying time to find out the optimal combination of time and temperature, which would result in maximum fat yield. The fatty oil is then subjected to the trans-esterification process with methyl alcohol in the presence of a catalyst to extract crude biodiesel. A de-canter funnel is used to separate the glycerine and biodiesel from the crude extract. The extracted biodiesel is mixed in different volume percentages with conventional diesel, and various thermochemical properties were evaluated as per ASTM standards. The test result indicated that the properties of the biodiesel blends were well within the limits as prescribed by ASTM standards.

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient method using the latest technologies as a prototypic model which will reduce the human work is proposed, the proposed model is deployed using the IOT techniques for easy monitoring and controlling the system through a mobile app whenever required.
Abstract: In the fast growing era, the countries like Oman producing dates in large quantities are suffering from lack of human resources in regard to processing and packing of dates. It is also observed that the dates palm processing is very much crucial, failing the proper temperature may damage the dates. In order to store the dates for long time without getting damaged in an air tight packet a proper mechanism is carried out manually. In this paper we propose an efficient automatic method using the latest technologies as a prototypic model which will reduce the human work. The proposed model is deployed using the IOT techniques for easy monitoring and controlling the system through a mobile app whenever required. Moreover the system is also incorporated with different sensors and actuators to automate the process and functions. The deployed system shows a promising future in the field of automatic dates processing and packaging.

Abstract: Although air pollution in Ghana is ranked number one in environmental health threats to public health and sixth to cause of deaths, routine monitoring is rare. This paper presents fourteen years (2005-2018) assessment of aerosol optical depth (AOD) at 3 km resolution from MODIS Aqua and Terra satellites to ascertain the Spatio-temporal and seasonal distribution of aerosols over Ghana and its major cities. The MODIS AOD at 3 km were validated against ground-based Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) AODs to ascertain the suitability of the MODIS 3 km data for air quality application in the region. The contribution of distant aerosols to city aerosol loadings was also assessed with Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory (HYSPLIT) backscatter model. A moderate-high aerosol burden (AODs ∼ 0.50) was observed over Ghana with a significant contribution from the pre-monsoon season. City centres of Takoradi and Kumasi showed higher aerosol loads (AODs ∼ 0.80) than Accra and Tamale. The HYSPLIT model showed that distant or transported aerosol sources to the city centres were of both marine and land generated origins. Linear regression analysis between MODIS AOD and AERONET AOD showed a reasonably good correlation of ∼ 0.60 for Aqua and Terra. From the validation analysis, both Aqua and Terra satellites can be used for air quality monitoring over Ghana; however, more ground research must be conducted to ascertain better aerosol model assumptions for the region.

TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical investigation has been done to develop a mathematical model which could used to study such plasma system in the space where electrons follow non-extensive distribution, ions are positively and negatively charged, and dust particles are also charged like ions (both positive and negative) in characteristics in the presence of an magnetic field.
