TL;DR: The FLUXNET2015 dataset provides ecosystem-scale data on CO 2 , water, and energy exchange between the biosphere and the atmosphere, and other meteorological and biological measurements, from 212 sites around the globe, and is detailed in this paper.
Abstract: The FLUXNET2015 dataset provides ecosystem-scale data on CO2, water, and energy exchange between the biosphere and the atmosphere, and other meteorological and biological measurements, from 212 sites around the globe (over 1500 site-years, up to and including year 2014). These sites, independently managed and operated, voluntarily contributed their data to create global datasets. Data were quality controlled and processed using uniform methods, to improve consistency and intercomparability across sites. The dataset is already being used in a number of applications, including ecophysiology studies, remote sensing studies, and development of ecosystem and Earth system models. FLUXNET2015 includes derived-data products, such as gap-filled time series, ecosystem respiration and photosynthetic uptake estimates, estimation of uncertainties, and metadata about the measurements, presented for the first time in this paper. In addition, 206 of these sites are for the first time distributed under a Creative Commons (CC-BY 4.0) license. This paper details this enhanced dataset and the processing methods, now made available as open-source codes, making the dataset more accessible, transparent, and reproducible.

TL;DR: In order to control dispersion and dispersion slope of indexguiding photonic crystal fibers (PCFs), a new controlling technique of chromatic dispersion in PCF is reported and it is shown from numerical results that it is possible to design a fourring PCF with flattened dispersion.
Abstract: In order to control dispersion and dispersion slope of indexguiding photonic crystal fibers (PCFs), a new controlling technique of chromatic dispersion in PCF is reported. Moreover, our technique is applied to design PCF with both ultra-low dispersion and ultra-flattened dispersion in wide wavelength range. A full-vector finite element method with anisotropic perfectly matched layers is used to analyze the dispersion properties and the confinement losses in a PCF with finite number of air holes. It is shown from numerical results that it is possible to design a fourring PCF with flattened dispersion of 0 +/- 0.5 ps/(km.nm) from 1.19 m to 1.69 m wavelength range and a five-ring PCF with flattened dispersion of 0 +/- 0.4 ps/(km.nm) from 1.23 m to 1.72 m wavelength range.

TL;DR: In this paper, an overview of the previous research work on microencapsulation technology for thermal energy storage incorporating the phase change materials (PCMs) in the building applications, along with few useful conclusive remarks concluded from the available literature.
Abstract: Thermal energy storage (TES) systems using phase change material (PCM) have been recognized as one of the most advanced energy technologies in enhancing the energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings. Now the research is focus on suitable method to incorporate PCMs with building. There are several methods to use phase change materials (PCMs) in thermal energy storage (TES) for different applications. Microencapsulation is one of the well known and advanced technologies for better utilization of PCMs with building parts, such as, wall, roof and floor besides, within the building materials. Phase change materials based microencapsulation for latent heat thermal storage (LHTS) systems for building application offers a challenging option to be employed as effective thermal energy storage and a retrieval device. Since the particular interest in using microencapsulation PCMs for concrete and wall/wallboards, the specific research efforts on both subjects are reviewed separately. This paper presents an overview of the previous research work on microencapsulation technology for thermal energy storage incorporating the phase change materials (PCMs) in the building applications, along with few useful conclusive remarks concluded from the available literature.

TL;DR: Several workers have recently proposed digital techniques for high-resolution imaging through the turbulent atmosphere to calculate and average phase angles of a series of image Fourier transforms to suppress the unwanted atmospheric effects on image resolution.
Abstract: Several workers have recently proposed digital techniques for high-resolution imaging through the turbulent atmosphere. The basic concept of these algorithms is to calculate and average phase angles of a series of image Fourier transforms to suppress the unwanted atmospheric effects on image resolution. Since computed phase angles contain the ambiguities of integral multiples of 2 pirad, it is necessary to obtain continuous phase curves without the ambiguities before averaging. This process of eliminating the ambiguities is called phase tracking or unwrapping. A similar problem has been discussed by Oppenheim and Schafer and Tribolet in the context of realization of a certain homomorphic signal processing system.
