TL;DR: A new algorithm for obtaining extreme vertices designs for linear mixture models is proposed and generally produces designs that are as efficient as those produced by the XVERT algorithm of Snee and Marquardt (1974) but with less computational effort.
Abstract: A new algorithm for obtaining extreme vertices designs for linear mixture models is proposed. The algorithm generally produces designs that are as efficient as those produced by the XVERT algorithm of Snee and Marquardt (1974) but with less computational effort. Use of the algorithm in obtaining designs is also described.

TL;DR: In this article, an attempt has been made to study the joint effect of climatic variables on rice yield at different stages of crop growth, and the effects increased with increase in temperature.
Abstract: An attempt has been made to study the joint effect of climatic variables on rice yield at different stages of crop growth. Beneficial effects of above average maximum temperature on yield increased with rise in humidity during active vegetative phase while detrimental effects decreased in other phase of crop growth. The rise in humidity had small beneficial effects in general throughout the crop season. The effects increased with increase in temperature. Rise in temperature associated with high rainfall had beneficial effects during growth phase of the crop.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of constructing balanced arrays of strength two and corresponding main-effect fractional factorial plans from some regular group-divisible designs is presented, which have reasonably high efficiencies for different single degree of freedom effects.

TL;DR: In this paper, an optimal use of several auxiliary variables in the form of a single auxiliary variable obtained as a linear function of these variables was proposed. But the performance of this condensed auxiliary variable has been studied in selecting the sample.
Abstract: Information on several auxiliary variables correlated with the variable under study is available in most of the sample survey studies. This paper attempts an optimal use of several auxiliary variables in the form of a single auxiliary variable obtained as a linear function of these variables. The performance of this condensed auxiliary variable has been studied in selecting the sample.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors considered the environmental stochasticity of the Gompertz model with time delay when the parameters are assumed to be described by correlated Gaussian white noise processes.
Abstract: We consider the environmental stochasticity of the Gompertz model with time delay when the parameters are assumed to be described by correlated Gaussian white noise processes. The delay kernel is assumed to be exponentially decaying and the Fokker-Planck equation is obtained in both the Stratonovich and Ito calculi. The exact expressions for the first and second order moments of the logarithm of population size are evaluated and the stability of the system in mean as well as In mean-square is discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, the efficiency of sampling with partial enumeration has been examined as compared to the usual two phase sampling for the study of only two characters, where some extra units for each character are observed separately.
