TL;DR: In this paper, a novel statistical approach for various analyses of the scRNA-seq Unique Molecular Identifier (UMI) counts data is presented, which considers the biological process that leads to severe dropout events in modeling the observed UMI counts of the genes.

TL;DR: A test based on ordered observations for selection of consistent judges for sensory evaluation has been given in this paper, the test-statistic depends on the sum of ranks of different products under consideration.
Abstract: A test based on ordered observations for selection of consistent judges for sensory evaluation has been given. The test–statistic depends on the sum of ranks of different products under consideration. The probability distribution of the test-statistic has been worked out for small sample and it turns out to be chi-square distribution for large sample. The analytical procedure has been explained by a numerical example of a taste-testing experiment.

TL;DR: In this article, two methods of constructing row-column designs for factorial experiments were proposed, and the constructed designs have orthogonal factorial structure with balance and permits estimation.

TL;DR: In this article, the analysis of experimental data from Bayesian point of view has been considered and an appropriate methodology has been developed for application into designed experiments for real experimental data taken from long term fertilizer experiments.
Abstract: Analysis of experimental data from Bayesian point of view has been considered. Appropriate methodology has been developed for application into designed experiments. Normal-Gamma distribution has been considered for prior distribution. Developed methodology has been applied to real experimental data taken from long term fertilizer experiments.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Laplace transform of the mean-value function of the amount of substance present in the two compartments is evaluated in a general two-compartment system with environmental stochasticity.
Abstract: In this paper the general two-compartment system with environmental stochasticity is investigated. The transfer rates and outputs are assumed to be random telegraph processes. The Laplace-transform of the mean-value function of the amount of substance present in the two compartments is evaluated. The Gaussian white noise limit case is also discussed and the stability of the system is examined. It is shown that while the deterministic model is stable, environmental stochasticity may induce in the mean-value function all sorts of behaviour — stable, unstable and oscillatory. This is in contrast to the intrinsic stochasticity in linear models wherefor the mean-value function is the same as the solution of the deterministic counterpart.
