TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic construction for 1/8th and 1/16th fraction quaternary codes with high resolution for any number of factors is presented, and a majority of these designs have larger resolution than comparable two-level regular designs.

TL;DR: This paper summarizes the dataset of Twitter messages related to recent demonetization of all Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes in India and explores insights from Twitter’s data via the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)-based topic model and identifies the correlated topics across different categories.
Abstract: Social media platforms, owing to its great wealth of information, facilitates one’s opportunities to explore hidden patterns or unknown correlations. It also finds its credibility in understanding people’s expressions from what they are discussing on online platforms. As one showcase, in this paper, we summarize the dataset of Twitter messages related to recent demonetization of all Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes in India and explore insights from Twitter’s data. Our proposed system automatically extracts the popular latent topics in conversations regarding demonetization discussed in Twitter via the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)-based topic model and also identifies the correlated topics across different categories. Additionally, it also discovers people’s opinions expressed through their tweets related to the event under consideration via the emotion analyzer. The system also employs an intuitive and informative visualization to show the uncovered insight. Furthermore, we use an evaluation measure, Normalized Mutual Information (NMI), to select the best LDA models. The obtained LDA results show that the tool can be effectively used to extract discussion topics and summarize them for further manual analysis.

TL;DR: This work considers the construction of cost-effective global routing trees with the recently introduced Y-interconnects, and utilizes this framework for verifying the supremacy of the Elmore delay estimate for its high fidelity.
Abstract: The dominance of interconnect delay in VLSI circuit design is well-known. Construction of routing trees in recent times has to take care of the timing issues for faster design convergence. Thus there is immense scope of research in design and performance of interconnects. Our current work encompasses two aspects of this research. On one hand, we consider the construction of cost-effective global routing trees with the recently introduced Y-interconnects, and on the other hand, we utilize this framework for verifying the supremacy of the Elmore delay estimate for its high fidelity. In order to ensure accurate computation of fidelity, (i) we propose new statistically proven formulae for fidelity, and (ii) compute the fidelity values based on delay estimates for optimal and near-optimal trees. Our experiments on several randomly generated problem instances and benchmarks confirm once again the supremacy of fidelity of Elmore delay over that of linear delay.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored two key aspects of organization theory: organizational communication in the face of crisis and the influence of emotions expressed in social media communication and their impact on stock prices of firms.
Abstract: In this paper, we explored two key aspects of organization theory—organizational communication in the face of crisis and the influence of emotions expressed in social media communication and their impact on stock prices of firms We extracted emotional content from 189,303 tweets and collected financial data for six quarters for 105 companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange from the Fortune 1000 list of companies We operationalized a set of metrics to measure emotion in organizational tweets Our analysis showed that the operationalized metrics to measure emotion expressed in organizational tweets were significant predictors of stock prices of firms Further analysis showed a moderation effect of the crisis on the association between emotion expressed in organizational tweets and stock prices in the presence of control variables The study provides a detailed analysis of constituent positive (happiness) and negative (anger, fear, and sadness) emotions in organizational tweets and their association with stock prices of firms Practitioners and regulators may use the analysis and the metrics to assess organizational communication and better leverage Twitter for crisis response This paper showcases organizational crisis response of Twitter and its financial impact

TL;DR: To the best of my knowledge, this is the first attempt to propose assurance region approach (DEA/AR) in DEA with intuitionistic fuzzy input/output data to evaluate the efficiency where input/ Output data are represented as intuitionists fuzzy.
Abstract: The concept of assurance region (AR) was proposed in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) literature to restrict the ratio of any two weights within a given lower and upper bounds so as to overcome the difficulty of ignoring or relying too much on any of the input or output while calculating the efficiency. Further, AR approach was extended to handle fuzzy input/output data. But, available information is not always sufficient to define the impreciseness in the input/output data using classical fuzzy sets. Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set (IFS) is a generalized fuzzy set to characterize the impreciseness by taking into account degree of hesitation also. In this paper, intuitionistic fuzzy DEA/AR approach has been proposed to evaluate the efficiency where input/output data are represented as intuitionistic fuzzy. Based on the expected value approach, classical cross efficiency has also been generalized to rank the DMUs for the case of intuitionistic fuzzy data. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first attempt to propose assurance region approach (DEA/AR) in DEA with intuitionistic fuzzy input/output data. This approach is useful for the experts and decision makers when they are hesitant about defining the degree of membership/non-membership of fuzzy data. Results have been illustrated and validated using a case of flexible manufacturing systems (FMS).
