TL;DR: The proposed scheme makes unauthorized disclosure of valuable design almost infeasible, and can easily detect any alteration of the design file during transmission, and ensures authentication of the original designer as well as non-repudiation between the seller and the buyer.
Abstract: IP reuse is rapidly proliferating recent automated circuit design. It is facing serious challenges like forgery, theft and misappropriation of intellectual property (IP) of the design. Thus, protection of design IP is a matter of prime concern. In this paper, we propose a novel Internet-based scheme to tackle this problem. Input to the proposed scheme is a graph corresponding to a digital system design. Watermarking of the graph and its encryption are achieved using a new linear feedback shift register(LFSR)-based locking scheme. The proposed scheme makes unauthorized disclosure of valuable design almost infeasible, and can easily detect any alteration of the design file during transmission. It ensures authentication of the original designer as well as non-repudiation between the seller and the buyer. Empirical evidences on several benchmark problem sets are encouraging.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors build a system dynamics model of a ride-sharing platform in a developing country that endogenizes the growth of the platform in the presence of stickiness of the asset provider, since platform growth can occur only through new investments in assets that have limited utility outside the platform.
Abstract: Unlike developed economies, developing economies lack surplus assets that have fueled the growth of sharing economy through various digital platforms. In this research, we build a system dynamics model of a ride sharing platform in a developing country that endogenizes the growth of the platform in the presence of stickiness of the asset provider, since platform growth can occur only through new investments in assets that have limited utility outside the platform. Our modeling approach enables capture of two-sided positive network externalities and the same-side negative externalities together in the same framework. Simulations illustrate that the pricing and incentive decisions taken by the platform to overcome the problem of initial asset unavailability have long-term consequences on various parameters of performance of the platform such as driver’s profits, platform revenues, and the level of prices of services.

TL;DR: A contextual Environmental Separation Index (ESI) decision tool is developed to help outsourcing firms in making more informed decisions when selecting outsourcees and outsourcing locations and it is shown from a complexity theory perspective how contextual separation gaps between developed country outsourcers and developing country outsourcee can be an effective way to grasp the evolutionary path of outsourcing relationships.
Abstract: Outsourcing research has recognised that selecting the right offshore supplier (outsourcee) in low-cost distant developing countries is complex, but central to outsourcing success. More specificall...

TL;DR: A theoretical framework is developed for the analysis of the worst-case behavior of weighted heuristic search algorithms and a new algorithm is proposed whose worst- case performance characteristics are greatly superior to those of earlier algorithms in terms of the following two measures: how good is the solution, and how many nodes are expanded.
