TL;DR: In this article, the e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-) pi(0)chi(bj) (J = 0, 1, 2) processes were studied using a 118 fb(-1) data sample acquired with the Belle detector at a center-of-mass energy of 10.867 GeV.
Abstract: The e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-) pi(0)chi(bj) ( J = 0, 1, 2) processes are studied using a 118 fb(-1) data sample acquired with the Belle detector at a center-of-mass energy of 10.867 GeV. Unambiguous pi(+)pi(-) pi(0)chi(bj) ( J = 1, 2), omega chi(b1) signals are observed, and indication for omega chi(b2) is seen, both for the first time, and the corresponding cross section measurements are presented. No significant pi(+)pi(-) pi(0)chi(b0) or omega chi(b0) signals are observed, and 90% confidence level upper limits on the cross sections for these two processes are obtained. In the pi(+)pi(-) pi(0) invariant mass spectrum, significant non-omega signals are also observed. We search for the X(3872)-like state (named X-b) decaying into omega Upsilon(1S); no significant signal is observed with a mass between 10.55 and 10.65 GeV= c(2).

TL;DR: In this paper, the dielectron and dimuon final states were used to measure the differential cross sections dσ/dϕ* and double-differential cross-sections d2σ /d ϕ*d|y| for inclusive Z boson production.
Abstract: Measurements of differential cross sections dσ/dϕ* and double-differential cross sections d2σ/dϕ*d|y| for inclusive Z boson production are presented using the dielectron and dimuon final states. The kinematic observable ϕ* correlates with the dilepton transverse momentum but has better resolution, and y is the dilepton rapidity. The analysis is based on data collected with the CMS experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb−1. The normalised cross section (1/σ) dσ/dϕ*, within the fiducial kinematic region, is measured with a precision of better than 0.5% for ϕ* < 1. The measurements are compared to theoretical predictions and they agree, typically, within few percent.

TL;DR: In this article, a search for phenomena beyond the standard model in final states with two oppositely charged same-flavor leptons and missing transverse momentum is presented, using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV.
Abstract: A search for phenomena beyond the standard model in final states with two oppositely charged same-flavor leptons and missing transverse momentum is presented. The search uses a data sample of proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb$^{−1}$, collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC. Three potential signatures of physics beyond the standard model are explored: an excess of events with a lepton pair, whose invariant mass is consistent with the Z boson mass; a kinematic edge in the invariant mass distribution of the lepton pair; and the nonresonant production of two leptons. The observed event yields are consistent with those expected from standard model backgrounds. The results of the first search allow the exclusion of gluino masses up to 1870 GeV, as well as chargino (neutralino) masses up to 750 (800) GeV, while those of the searches for the other two signatures allow the exclusion of light-flavor (bottom) squark masses up to 1800 (1600) GeV and slepton masses up to 700 GeV, respectively, at 95% confidence level within certain supersymmetry scenarios.[graphic not available: see fulltext]

TL;DR: In this article, a graph theoretic based feeder routing (a mixed non-linear integer optimization problem) in power distribution network including DGs is presented, which significantly reduces the complexities of the search algorithms and provides the optimal radial path while minimizing the cost.

TL;DR: In this article, a search for flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC) in events with the top quark and the Higgs boson is presented, and the results show that no significant deviation is observed from the predicted background.
Abstract: A search for flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC) in events with the top quark and the Higgs boson is presented. The Higgs boson decay to a pair of b quarks is considered. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb−1 recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at s√=13 TeV. Two channels are considered: single top quark FCNC production in association with the Higgs boson (pp → tH), and top quark pair production with FCNC decay of the top quark (t → qH). Final states with one isolated lepton and at least three reconstructed jets, among which at least two are associated with b quarks, are studied. No significant deviation is observed from the predicted background. Observed (expected) upper limits at 95% confidence level are set on the branching fractions of top quark decays, ℬ(t → uH) < 0.47% (0.34%) and ℬ(t → cH) < 0.47% (0.44%), assuming a single nonzero FCNC coupling.
