TL;DR: In this article, the assessment of two non-edible oils, that is, pongamia oil and composite castor oil, as asphalt rejuvenators to achieve 100% RAP recycling is presented.
Abstract: The aged pavement material from a defunct pavement – commonly known as reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) – contains stiffened binder caused by loss of volatile materials and oxidation. Therefore, addition of a high amount of the RAP to asphalt mix, in case of pavement recycling, may make it prone to fatigue failure. Due to this reason, the addition of RAP to asphalt mixture in substantial amount has been a challenge so far. “Rejuvenators” are generally used to restore the properties of the aged binders in the recycled mixes. The present study deals with the assessment of two non-edible oils, that is, pongamia oil and composite castor oil (a composite rejuvenator having castor oil and coke-oven gas condensate) as asphalt rejuvenators to achieve 100% RAP recycling. The study mainly comprises rheological characterisation studies such as rutting behaviour, fatigue behaviour, dynamic mechanical analysis and creep-recovery studies of the rejuvenated binder specimens. Chemical investigations using infrared spectr...

TL;DR: In this article, a search is conducted for new physics in a final state containing a photon and missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV.
Abstract: A search is conducted for new physics in a final state containing a photon and missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV. The data collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC correspond to an integrated luminosity of 12.9 fb(-1). No deviations are observed relative to the predictions of the standard model. The results are interpreted as exclusion limits on the dark matter production cross sections and parameters in models containing extra spatial dimensions. Improved limits are set with respect to previous searches using the monophoton final state. In particular, the limits on the extra dimension model parameters are the most stringent to date in this channel.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the performance of the Higgs boson in the diphoton decay channel using the data set of proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016.
Abstract: Measurements of the inclusive and differential production cross sections for the Higgs boson in the diphoton decay channel are performed using the data set of proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1). The cross sections are measured in a fiducial phase space defined by a set of requirements on the isolation and kinematic variables of the photons. Differential cross sections are measured as functions of the kinematic properties of the diphoton system and the event. A subset of the measurements is performed in regions of the fiducial phase space, where relative contributions of specific Higgs boson production mechanisms are enhanced. The total cross section in the chosen fiducial phase space is measured to be 84 +/- 11 (stat) +/- 7 (syst) fb = 84 +/- 13 fb, to be compared with a theoretical prediction of 73 +/- 4 fb. All measurements are found to be in agreement with the theoretical predictions for the standard model Higgs boson with a mass of 125.09 GeV within the experimental and theoretical uncertainties.
