TL;DR: A clustering based method to capture outliers using K-means clustering algorithm to divide the data set into clusters and declares the top $n$ points with the highest score as outliers.
Abstract: In this paper we propose a clustering based method to capture outliers. We apply K-means clustering algorithm to divide the data set into clusters. The points which are lying near the centroid of the cluster are not probable candidate for outlier and we can prune out such points from each cluster. Next we calculate a distance based outlier score for remaining points. The computations needed to calculate the outlier score reduces considerably due to the pruning of some points. Based on the outlier score we declare the top $n$ points with the highest score as outliers. The experimental results using real data set demonstrate that even though the number of computations is less, the proposed method performs better than the existing method.

TL;DR: The sensitivity of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) to neutrino oscillation is determined, based on a full simulation, reconstruction, and event selection of the far detector and full simulation and parameterized analysis of the near detector as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The sensitivity of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) to neutrino oscillation is determined, based on a full simulation, reconstruction, and event selection of the far detector and a full simulation and parameterized analysis of the near detector. Detailed uncertainties due to the flux prediction, neutrino interaction model, and detector effects are included. DUNE will resolve the neutrino mass ordering to a precision of 5σ, for all δCP values, after 2 years of running with the nominal detector design and beam configuration. It has the potential to observe charge-parity violation in the neutrino sector to a precision of 3σ (5σ) after an exposure of 5 (10) years, for 50% of all δCP values. It will also make precise measurements of other parameters governing long-baseline neutrino oscillation, and after an exposure of 15 years will achieve a similar sensitivity to sin 22 θ13 to current reactor experiments.

TL;DR: The obtained results confirmed the use of seed oil from well characterized elite genotype of Pongamia as diesel fuel and in pharmaceuticals and the efficacy of antimicrobial activity of the seed oil at four concentration levels against various pathogenic indicators was found to be concentration-dependent.
Abstract: Oil analysis and antimicrobial activity from seeds of elite genotype of Pongamia pinnata was carried out in the current study. The highest oil yield (33%) from seeds was recovered in n-Hexane. Physico-chemical properties of crude oil established suitability of P. pinnata for its use as a potential biofuel crop. The total mono unsaturated fatty acid (oleic acid 46%) present in seed oil was more in comparison to polyunsaturated fatty acid (33%) as analyzed by GC–MS. Seed oil also showed inhibition against the tested fungal and bacterial cultures. However, the efficacy of antimicrobial activity of the seed oil at four concentration levels (50%, 80%, 90% and 100%) against various pathogenic indicators was found to be concentration-dependent. The obtained results confirmed the use of seed oil from well characterized elite genotype of Pongamia as diesel fuel and in pharmaceuticals.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured emissions from passenger cars and auto-rickshaws during peak and off-peak hours and analyzed according to different mileages with the instantaneous speed and acceleration for interrupted and congested traffic conditions.
Abstract: On-road emissions from urban traffic during interrupted and congested flow conditions are too high as compared to free-flow condition and often influenced by accelerating and decelerating speed due to frequent stop-and-go. In this study, we measured emissions from passenger cars and auto-rickshaws during peak and off-peak hours and analyzed according to different mileages with the instantaneous speed and acceleration for interrupted and congested traffic conditions. It was found that during flow, several short-events lasting over fractions of a second each lead to a sharp increase in pollutant emissions, indicating episodic conditions. The emission levels are sensitive to frequency and intensity of acceleration and deceleration, in accordance with the traffic-flow patterns and speed, besides mileages. Further, congestion conditions occur during both peak and off-peak hours, but last for different durations. The results are important in the sense that instantaneous estimates of pollutant emissions are necessary for the assessment of air quality in urban centers and for an effective traffic management plan.
