TL;DR: In this article, the feasibility of heat integration in the reactive distillation schemes and in the two distillation columns having no direct connections is investigated, and the following areas are identified for heat integrated distillation column: rigorous dynamic modeling, optimal design, multiple steady state analysis, system identification, synthesis and implementation of high-quality nonlinear control, and importantly experimental evaluation.

TL;DR: This paper attempts to make the first formal review of state-of-art of vision-based defect detection and classification of steel surfaces as they are produced from steel mills using vision- based techniques.
Abstract: Steel is the material of choice for a large number and very diverse industrial applications. Surface qualities along with other properties are the most important quality parameters, particularly for flat-rolled steel products. Traditional manual surface inspection procedures are awfully inadequate to ensure guaranteed quality-free surface. To ensure stringent requirements of customers, automated vision-based steel surface inspection techniques have been found to be very effective and popular during the last two decades. Considering its importance, this paper attempts to make the first formal review of state-of-art of vision-based defect detection and classification of steel surfaces as they are produced from steel mills. It is observed that majority of research work has been undertaken for cold steel strip surfaces which is most sensitive to customers' requirements. Work on surface defect detection of hot strips and bars/rods has also shown signs of increase during the last 10 years. The review covers overall aspects of automatic steel surface defect detection and classification systems using vision-based techniques. Attentions have also been drawn to reported success rates along with issues related to real-time operational aspects.

TL;DR: The nature and type of compressions used in SMS texts are investigated, and a Hidden Markov Model based word-model for TL is developed, which results in a 35% reduction of the relative word level error rates.
Abstract: Language usage over computer mediated discourses, such as chats, emails and SMS texts, significantly differs from the standard form of the language and is referred to as texting language (TL). The presence of intentional misspellings significantly decrease the accuracy of existing spell checking techniques for TL words. In this work, we formally investigate the nature and type of compressions used in SMS texts, and develop a Hidden Markov Model based word-model for TL. The model parameters have been estimated through standard machine learning techniques from a word-aligned SMS and standard English parallel corpus. The accuracy of the model in correcting TL words is 57.7%, which is almost a threefold improvement over the performance of Aspell. The use of simple bigram language model results in a 35% reduction of the relative word level error rates.

TL;DR: A fractional-order differentiator circuit has been constructed using the CPE, and its performance has been compared with the simulated results.
Abstract: A simple method for fabricating a constant phase element (CPE) has been discussed. Dependence of the phase angle on several physical parameters have also been elaborated. Finally, a fractional-order differentiator circuit has been constructed using the CPE, and its performance has been compared with the simulated results

TL;DR: The excellent performance validates the integrated assembly as an attractive sensing element for the development of new dehydrogenase biosensors.
Abstract: Development of a highly sensitive nanostructured electrochemical biosensor based on the integrated assembly of dehydrogenase enzymes and gold (Au) nanoparticle is described. The Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) have been self-assembled on a thiol-terminated, sol−gel-derived, 3-D, silicate network and enlarged by hydroxylamine seeding. The AuNPs on the silicate network efficiently catalyze the oxidation of NADH with a decrease in overpotential of ∼915 mV in the absence of any redox mediator. The surface oxides of AuNP function as an excellent mediator, and a special inverted “V” shape voltammogram at less positive potential was observed for the oxidation of NADH. The AuNP self-assembled sol−gel network behaves like a nanoelectrode ensemble. The nanostructured electrode shows high sensitivity (0.056 ± 0.001 nA/nM) toward NADH with an amperometric detection limit of 5 nM. The electrode displays excellent operational and storage stability. A novel methodology for the fabrication of a NADH-dependent dehydrogenase bios...
