TL;DR: In this paper, the thermodynamic functions (enthalpy and entropy changes) were determined for complexation reactions of alkaline-earth metals by uramildiacetic acid (UDA) and for beryllium by nitrilotriacetic acid and 1.2-diaminoethanetetracetic acid using the temperature coefficient method.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new set of parameters α = 15.5, ϵ/k = 46.6±0.9 K and rm = 3.030 A for the exponential-six potential model.
Abstract: On the basis of our experimental data for the isotropic thermal diffusion factor and the more recent data for the transport phenomena and the second virial of pressure, we propose for neon the new set of parameters α = 15.5, ϵ/k = 46.6±0.9 K and rm = 3.030 A for the exponential-six potential model. For accurate theoretical comparisons, however, the model is unable to correlate transport and equilibrium properties with a unique set of parameters as well as the experiments over large temperature ranges.

TL;DR: In this article, the dispersion equation of drift waves in the presence of electron- plasma turbulence in a plasma with magnetic shear has been studied and it is shown that the shear stabilization can be cancelled out by a hot turbulent spectrum, even for a low level of turbulence.
Abstract: We study the dispersion equation of drift waves in the presence of electron- plasma turbulence in a plasma with magnetic shear. We show that the shear stabilization can be cancelled out by a hot turbulent spectrum, even for a low level of turbulence, W/n 0 Te ≪ 1.

TL;DR: In this paper, a nonlinear dispersion equation for the stochastic modes of a turbulent whistler noise spectrum with the injection of a coherent whistler leads to the creation of noise-free bands when CW whistler modes are transmitted.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the optic-acoustic effect to measure the relaxation time after exciting the v4 mode of CD4 and concluded that energy transfer takes place via a vibration-rotation-translation (V-R-T) mechanism.
Abstract: Using the optic-acoustic effect, measurements of the relaxation time were made after exciting the v4 mode of CD4. This was done for pure CD4 and for mixtures of CD4 with He, Ne, Ar and Kr, the results being 3.9±0.2, 1.8±0.2, 18±2, 70±15 and ≳ 100 μs at 1 atm, respectively. From the relaxation time dependence on mass as well as from a comparison between results for CH4 and CD4 it is concluded that energy transfer takes place via a vibration-rotation-translation (V-R-T) mechanism. Experiments were also conducted to study the most probable deexcitation path from the higher energy mode, v3, to translation. This was done for CD4-CD4 as well as for CD4-atom collisions. For pure CD4 deexcitation occurs via the lower energy group (v2, v4), while for CD4 mixtures it may also occur via the higher energy group (v1, 2v2, v2 + v4, 2v4).

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of an injected monochromatic wave on a turbulent spectrum was analyzed and it was shown that the resulting nonlinear dispersion relation for the stochastic modes displays a real frequency shift and a corrected growth rate when contrasted with the classical quasi linear dispersion equation.
Abstract: Analysis of the influence of an injected monochromatic wave on a turbulent spectrum shows that the resulting nonlinear dispersion relation for the stochastic modes displays a real frequency shift and a corrected growth rate when contrasted with the classical quasi-linear dispersion equation.
