TL;DR: The e-ASTROGAM (enhanced ASTROGAM) project as mentioned in this paper is a breakthrough Observatory space mission, with a detector composed by a Silicon tracker, a calorimeter, and an anticoincidence system, dedicated to the study of the non-thermal Universe in the photon energy range from 0.3 MeV to 3 GeV.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that without resorting to additional sensors, visual information can be used to create environment representations of the sea bottom (mosaics) and support long runs of navigation in a robust manner.
Abstract: We propose an approach for vision-based navigation of underwater robots that relies on the use of video mosaics of the sea bottom as environmental representations for navigation. We present a methodology for building high-quality video mosaics of the sea bottom in a fully automatic manner, which ensures global spatial coherency. During navigation, a set of efficient visual routines are used for the fast and accurate localization of the underwater vehicle with respect to the mosaic. These visual routines were developed taking into account the operating requirements of real-time position sensing, error bounding, and computational load. A visual servoing controller, based on the vehicle's kinematics, is used to drive the vehicle along a computed trajectory, specified in the mosaic, while maintaining constant altitude. The trajectory toward a goal point is generated online to avoid undefined areas in the mosaic. We have conducted a large set of sea trials, under realistic operating conditions. This paper demonstrates that without resorting to additional sensors, visual information can be used to create environment representations of the sea bottom (mosaics) and support long runs of navigation in a robust manner.

TL;DR: In particular, for an equilibrium measure on a locally maximal hyper-bolic set of a C 1+ dieomorphism f, this article showed that the recurrence rate to each point coincides almost everywhere with the Hausdor dimension of the measure, that is, inffk > 0 : f k x2 B(x;r)g r d.
Abstract: We study the quantitative behavior of Poincar e recurrence. In particular, for an equilibrium measure on a locally maximal hyper- bolic set of a C 1+ dieomorphism f, we show that the recurrence rate to each point coincides almost everywhere with the Hausdor dimen- sion d of the measure, that is, inffk > 0 : f k x2 B(x;r)g r d . This result is a non-trivial generalization of work of Boshernitzan concerning the quantitative behavior of recurrence, and is a dimensional version of work of Ornstein and Weiss for the entropy. We stress that our ap- proach uses dierent techniques. Furthermore, our results motivate the introduction of a new method to compute the Hausdor dimension of measures.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of curing conditions on the durability of concrete mixes containing selected plastic waste aggregates was investigated, and the results showed a decline in the properties of concrete made with plastic aggregates, in terms of durability, compared with conventional concrete.
Abstract: The effect of curing conditions on the durability of concrete mixes containing selected plastic waste aggregates was investigated. Concrete mixes were prepared in which 0%, 7.5% and 15% of natural aggregates were replaced by plastic – polyethylene terephthalate (PET) – aggregate. The effects of fine and coarse aggregates, used separately, as well as of their shape were also investigated. The manufactured concrete specimens were subjected to outdoor environment, laboratory environment and wet chamber curing regimes. Tests for shrinkage, water absorption by immersion, water absorption by capillarity action, carbonation and chloride penetration were carried out. The test results showed a decline in the properties of concrete made with plastic aggregates, in terms of durability, compared with conventional concrete. All specimens performed worse when subjected to drier curing regimes. However, sensitivity analyses showed that the properties of concrete mixes containing plastic aggregates generally deteriorate less than those of conventional concrete, when subjected to progressively drier curing regimes.
