TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a set of potential functions and auxiliary variables to present an exact Levy-type closed-form solution for free vibration analysis of a doubly curved FG shell panel.
Abstract: Plates, cylindrical and spherical shells, and in general, doubly curved shell panels are the main parts of each new structural design because their geometrical characteristics give them high strength to weight ratio. Moreover, requiring high mechanical and heat resistant materials leads engineers to use functionally graded material to achieve both of these characteristics. Hence, having a reliable high precision method for free vibration analysis of such shell panels is the first step of each dynamical analysis. This paper used a set of potential functions and auxiliary variables to present an exact Levy-type closed-form solution for free vibration of a doubly curved FG shell panel. The first-order shear deformation theory beside both the Donnell and Sanders strain-displacement relations are considered for mathematical modeling. The results of the present method are checked with the literature and a finite element analysis in which good agreement is observed. Also, a benchmark study is presented that will...

TL;DR: In this paper, a warm accumulative roll bonding process was used to produce a 1050/5% Al2O3/5083 composite from AA1050 and AA5083 sheets.
Abstract: In this study, a warm accumulative roll bonding process was used to produce a 1050/5% Al2O3/5083 composite from AA1050 and AA5083 sheets. Firstly, the raw materials were roll-bonded and then rolled up to five accumulative rolling cycles by preheating for 5 min at 280°C before each cycle. The mechanical properties of the ARBed bimetals were evaluated in comparison with 1050/5% Al2O3 and 5083/5% Al2O3 roll-bonded single-metal metal matrix composites (MMCs). It was found that two different layers of the bimetal sheet (1050/5% Al2O3/5083 composite) were deformed in a nearly identical way during the first three cycles. After that, the 5083 layers started necking. The strength of the bimetal samples was superior to the average of these two single-metal MMCs. Furthermore, the strength and ductility of the ARBed bimetal improved by ARB cycles. Finally, the fracture surfaces of the bimetal composite were studied at all ARB cycles by scanning electron microscopy.

TL;DR: In this paper, the acid activation experiments were carried out by hydrochloric acid solutions of various concentrations in the range of 27 N at 80±2 oC for 2 hours.
Abstract: The present investigation involves the preparation, characterization and bleaching property evaluation of a set of adsorbents, prepared by the acid activation of a bentonite clay collected from khorasan region, Iran. The acid activation experiments were carried out by hydrochloric acid solutions of various concentrations in the range of 27 N at 80±2 oC for 2 hours. Surface area measurements, chemical composition and mineralogical analysis of the prepared samples were performed. Activated samples were tested in order to verify their capacity to bleach colzasoybean oil, and their performances were compared to that of a commercial bleaching clay. The results showed that the activated bentonite at ~ 5 N acid concentration, would attain desirable adsorption properties suitable for bleaching of edible oils.
