Abstract: A compact printed ultrawideband (UWB) monopole antenna with dual band-notched characteristics is presented. By inserting two I-shaped notches in both sides of the microstrip feed line on the ground plane, additional resonances are excited, and hence the bandwidth is increased up to 123%. Two notched frequency bands are achieved by embedding a pair of Γ-shaped stubs in the radiation patch and a modified G-slot defected ground structure in the feeding line. The designed antenna has a small size of 20 × 18 mm2 and operates over the frequency band between 2.8 and 11.8 GHz for VSWR <; 2, with one notch frequency band at 3.3-3.8 GHz (WiMAX band) and the other at 5.1-6 GHz (WLAN band). The VSWR and radiation patterns of the fabricated antenna are presented, which prove that the designed antenna is a good candidate for various UWB applications.

Abstract: The Internet of Things (IoT) is an ecosystem that integrates physical objects, software and hardware to interact with each other. Aging of population, shortage of healthcare resources, and rising medical costs make IoT-based technologies necessary to be tailored to address these challenges in healthcare. This systematic literature review has been conducted to determine the main application area of IoT in healthcare, components of IoT architecture in healthcare, most important technologies in IoT, characteristics of cloud-based architecture, security and interoperability issues in IoT architecture and effects, and challenges of IoT in healthcare. Sixty relevant papers, published between 2000 and 2016, were reviewed and analyzed. This analysis revealed that home healthcare service was one of the main application areas of IoT in healthcare. Cloud-based architecture, by providing great flexibility and scalability, has been deployed in most of the reviewed studies. Communication technologies including wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, radio-frequency identification (RFID), ZigBee, and Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Networks (LoWPAN) were frequently used in different IoT models. The studies regarding the security and interoperability issues in IoT architecture in health are still low in number. With respect to the most important effects of IoT in healthcare, these included ability of information exchange, decreasing stay of hospitalization and healthcare costs. The main challenges of IoT in healthcare were security and privacy issues.

Abstract: In the past decade, energy storage systems (ESSs) as one of the structural units of the smart grids have experienced a rapid growth in both technical maturity and cost effectiveness. These devices propose diverse applications in the power systems especially in distribution networks. Despite offering numerous applications, the ESSs are new devices characterized by high investment costs. Besides technological advancement, optimal ESS planning and scheduling is one of the effective ways to reduce the costs and justifying high investment costs by taking their benefits out as much as possible. During the past few years, various studies have been conducted by the researcher to address the problem of optimal ESS planning in distribution networks. In this context, various models, methods, and considerations have been proposed to enhance the functionality of optimal planning process. The aim of this paper is to review the problem of optimal ESS planning including optimal bus location, power rating, and energy capacity determination in the distribution networks. In order to facilitate continuing and growing research in this field, a comprehensive literature survey and classification of the related studies followed by research gaps and future opportunities is provided.

Abstract: In recent years, BOT approach has provided an increasingly popular project financing to move toward infrastructure development in Asian countries such as Iran. There are many complexities in projects because of the variety of factors in project's trend and also the dependence of project on mainly national factors. Due to these complexities and their long-term operating, the projects meet with uncertainty and numerous risks. In this paper, an attempt is made at identifying common risks in BOT projects. A novel hierarchical structure of risks is presented on the basis of the project-oriented point of view; next, some effective criteria for risk ranking in BOT projects are introduced. Then, the problem is defined in Fuzzy Multi Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) field. Therefore, Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) and Fuzzy Linear Programming Technique for Multidimensional Analysis of Preference (FLINMAP) methods are presented in order to rank high risks in BOT projects. In this study, these two methods are compared in four respects: separation among alternatives, fuzzy error in criteria's weights, risk response planning, and numerousness of alternatives in proportion to criteria. The proposed model is used for identifying and assessing risks in Iran BOT power plant project. Finally, the rankings of high risks are determined according to their results at the end of this paper.
