TL;DR: In this paper, a cubic nanocrystalline PbS phase formation was found in the polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) matrix on glass substrates by chemical bath deposition at and below room temperature (30°C).
Abstract: Nanoparticles of lead sulfide (PbS) have been grown within the pores of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) matrix on glass substrates by chemical bath deposition at and below room temperature (30 °C). Lead acetate and thiourea, dissolved in an alkaline medium, were taken as the sources of lead and sulfur. X-ray diffraction and selected area electron diffraction studies confirmed the cubic nanocrystalline PbS phase formation. Transmission electron micrograph of the films revealed the particle size lying in the range 10–20 nm. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic studies confirmed the presence of lead and sulfur in the films, and their atomic ratios were found to be dependent on the deposition temperature. UV–vis spectrophotometric measurement showed a direct allowed band gap lying in the range 2.40–2.81 eV, which is much higher than the bulk value (0.41 eV). The band gap decreases with the increase of deposition temperature. The dielectric constant of the PVA-capped nanocrystalline PbS was in the range 155–265 at higher frequencies, which is much higher compared to only PVA and bulk PbS.

TL;DR: In this article, a cosine similarity measure based multi-attribute decision making under neutrosophic environment is presented, in which the assesments of alternatives over the attributes are expressed with trapezoidal fuzzy neutrophic numbers in which three independent components namely, truth-membership degree (T), indeterminacy membership degree (I) and falsity membership degree(F) are expressed by trapezoid fuzzy numbers.
Abstract: The objective of the study is to present cosine similarity measure based multi-attribute decision making under neutrosophic environment. The assesments of alternatives over the attributes are expressed with trapezoidal fuzzy neutrosophic numbers in which the three independent components namely, truth-membership degree (T), indeterminacy-membership degree (I) and falsity-membership degree (F) are expressed by trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Cosine similarity measure between two trapezoidal fuzzy neutrosophic numbers and its properties are introduced. Expected value of trapezoidal fuzzy neutrosophic number is defined to determine the attribute weight. With these attribute weights, weighted cosine similarity measure between relative positive ideal alternative and each alternative is determined to find out the best alternative in multi-attribute decision-making problem. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the proposed approach

TL;DR: Urinary arsenic is generally considered as the most reliable indicator of recent exposure to inorganic arsenic and is used as the main bio-marker of exposure and results indicate that children retain less arsenic in their body than adults.
Abstract: Urinary arsenic is generally considered as the most reliable indicator of recent exposure to inorganic arsenic and is used as the main bio-marker of exposure. However, due to the different toxicity of arsenic compounds, speciation of arsenic in urine is generally considered to be more convenient for health risk assessment than measuring total arsenic concentration. Additionally, it can give valuable information about the metabolism of arsenic species within the body. In our study, for exposed group—42 urine samples were collected from Datterhat (South) village of Madaripur district, Bangladesh and an average arsenic concentration in their drinking water was 376 µg/L (range 118 to 620 µg/L). For control group, 27 urine samples were collected from a non-affected district, Badhadamil village of Medinipur district, West Bengal, India, where arsenic concentration in their drinking water is below 3 µg/L. The arsenic species in the urine were separated and quantified by using HPLC-ICP-MS. The sum of ino...
