Abstract: Na przelomie wiosny i lata oraz jesienią zmierzono zuzycie tlenu u popielicy Glis glis (Linnaeus, 1766), koszatki Dryomys nitedula (Pallas, 1779) i orzesznicy Muscardinus avellanarius (Linnaeus, 1758). Dzieki dobowym pomiarom mozliwe bylo nie tylko poznanie średniej wartości zuzycia tlenu w roznych sezonach (Tabela 1), ale takze dalo sie ocenic dobowy rytm aktywności u poszczegolnych gatunkow (Ryc. 2, 3, 5, 6).

Abstract: Saturation magnetization, X-ray and neutron diffraction measurements were made on ferromagnetic alloys in the compositions Ni2MnSb, Ni2MnSn, and Co2MnSn. The compounds investigated have a crystallo-chemical structure of L21 type, with a partial disorder among NiSb atoms in the case of Ni2MnSb and Ni(Co)‒Mn atoms in that of Ni2MnSn and Co2MnSn. It was also found that in Heusler alloys the Ni atoms have zero magnetic moment, but the Co atom has a magnetic moment different from zero. The values of the magnetic moment of Mn and Co atoms were also calculated at 80 °K and found to be μMn = 3.60 to 3.75 μB, μCo = 0.7 μB. [Russian text ignored]

Abstract: NiMnSb and CoMnSb alloys were studied using neutron diffraction, X-ray diffraction, and magnetometric techniques. The distribution of the constituent atoms over the four sublattices was found and at 77 °K the magnetic structure of the alloys was determined. In NiMnSb a magnetic moment of (3.85 ± 0.05) μB was found only on Mn atoms. In CoMnSb the moments were found on both transition metal atoms, (3.5 ± 0.1) μB on Mn and (0.3 ± 0.1) μB on Co. These moments are ferromagnetically coupled. [Russian text Ignored].

Abstract: Results of calorimetric, dielectric and infrared measurements for solid t-butyl chloride ((CH3)3CCl) are presented. Calorimetric data confirm earlier results that there are two phase transitions in the solid state of this substance. Transition temperatures, enthalpy, and entropy values are in good agreement with literature data. The transitions found at 181.1 and 219.4 K are interpreted as first-order transitions, whereas that at 248.4 K (the melting point) is described to a 2I transition according to the classification of McCullough. Permittivity measurements in the microwave region were performed in the range of temperatures from the melting point to approximately 200 K. The data reveal the presence of dielectric dispersion in this frequency range, thus corroborating the results of other authors. Results for the plastic crystalline phase satisfy the Cole–Cole relation with a distribution parameter of dielectric relaxation times, α, equal to zero. Dielectric relaxation times were computed for several temperatures and the activation energy was estimated on the basis of three activation models. The infrared absorption spectrum in the range 400 to 1500 cm−1 shows that in phase I the spectrum is almost identical with that of the liquid phase and that in phase II each of the four bands is distinctly split into two components. Changes in the spectrum are interpreted as due to Davydov splitting associated with various depths of potential wells. Es werden Ergebnisse von kalorimetrischen, dielektrischen und Infrarotmessungen an festem t-Butylchlorid ((CH3)3CCl) mitgeteilt. Die kalorimetrischen Werte bestarken fruhere Ergebnisse, das zwei Phasenubergange im festen Zustand dieser Substanz existieren. Ubergangstemperaturen, Enthalpie- und Entropiewerte befinden sich in guter Ubereinstimmung mit Literaturwerten. Die Ubergange bei 181,1 und 219,4 K werden als Ubergange erster Ordnung interpretiert, wahrend der bei 248,4 K (Schmelzpunkt) einem 2I-Ubergang entsprechend der Klassifizierung von McCullough zugeschrieben wird. Permeabilitatsmessungen im Mikrowellenbereich wurden im Temperaturbereich vom Schmelzpunkt bis ungefahr 200 K durchgefuhrt. Die Werte zeigen die Anwesenheit einer dielektrischen Dispersion in diesem Frequenzbereich und bestatigen somit die Ergebnisse anderer Autoren. Ergebnisse fur die plastisch-kristalline Phase erfullen die Cole–Cole-Beziehungen mit einem Verteilungsparameter der dielektrischen Relaxationszeiten α gleich null. Die dielektrischen Relaxationszeiten wurden fur einige Temperaturen berechnet und die Aktivierungsenergie auf der Grundlage von drei Aktivierungsmodellen bestimmt. Das Infrarotspektrum zeigt im Bereich 400 bis 1500 cm−1, das in der Phase I das Spektrum fast identisch mit dem der flussigen Phase ist und das in Phase II jeder der vier Banden deutlich in zwei Komponenten aufgespalten ist. Anderungen im Spektrum werden einer Davydov-Aufspaltung, verbunden mit unterschiedlicher Tiefe der Potentialtopfe, zugeschrieben.

Abstract: Mossbauer measurements were performed at room temperature for a group of nonstoichiometric iron oxides of the Fe1-xO type with 0.002≦x≦0.250. The measured spectra for the samples with x ranging from 0.002 to 0.083 represent quadrupole split Fe2+ doublets and an unseparated Fe3+ singlet. For the samples with x≧0.084 apart from asymmetric quadrupole splitting, a double Zeeman splitting appears, due to the formation ofmagnetite-like clusters. The intensity ratio of the quadrupole pattern of the wustite phase to the Zeeman pattern of the magnetite phase decreases with increasing x to zero for x = 0.250 (pure synthetized magnetite), which is in agreement with X-ray diffraction analyses. Mosbaueruntersuchungen wurden bei Zimmertemperatur an einer Gruppe nichtstochiometrischer Eisenoxide vom Fe1-xO-Typ mit 0,002≦x≦0,250 durchgefuhrt. Die gemessenen Spektren fur Proben mit x zwischen 0,002 und 0,083 stellen durch Quadrupolwechselwirkung aufgespaltene Fe2+-Doubletts und ein nichtgetrenntes Fe3+-Singulett dar. Fur Proben mit x≧0,084 tritt auser einer asymmetrischen Quadrupolaufspaltung eine doppelte Zeemanaufspaltung durch die Bildung von magnetitahnlichen Clustern auf. Das Intensitatsverhaltnis des Quadrupoldiagramms der Wustit-Phase zum Zeemandiagramm der Magnetit-Phase fallt in Ubereinstimmung mit Rontgenstrahlbeugungs-analysen mit wachsendem x auf null ab fur x = 0,250 (reines synthetisiertes Magnetit).

Abstract: Computer experiments were performed to find the distribution of the electric field gradients and the possible modifications of the Mossbauer spectra in very small crystalline particles. The calculations of EFG were made in point charge approximations for simple cubic and normal spinel lattices. Es wurden Computer-Experimente durchgefuhrt, um die Verteilung der elektrischen Feldgradienten und der moglichen Modifikationen von Mosbauerspektren in sehr kleinen kristallinen Teilchen zu finden. Die EFG-Berechnungen wurden in der Punktladungsnaherung fur einfache kubische und normale Spinellgitter durchgefuhrt.
