16 Mar 2016TL;DR: A method of network intrusion detection system using key feature selection based on binary grey wolf optimization (GWO) and neural network classifier and the improved accuracy of proposed intrusion detection method with reduced feature set is proposed.
Abstract: Today's computing are network based computing. Intrusion security is one of the major challenges of such computing facilities that have to deal with every time without compromising the system performance. In practical, no such intrusion detection system is implemented that can guarantee hundred percent true detection of intrusion and threats. In this paper, we have proposed a method of network intrusion detection system using key feature selection based on binary grey wolf optimization (GWO) and neural network classifier. The proposed IDS can be installed on any strategic point of the network. By eliminating the insignificant features from dataset using GWO the size of dataset can be reduced hence reduction in training time of the classifier and storage for dataset. The simulation experiments with NSL-KDD dataset show the improved accuracy of proposed intrusion detection method with reduced feature set.

27 Apr 2007TL;DR: A viable real time EOG signal classifier for microcontrollers is proposed based on Deterministic Finite Automata (DFA), capable of classifying sixteen different EOG signals.
Abstract: In this paper, we present a simple and novel technique for classification of multiple channel Electrooculogram signals (EOG). In particular, a viable real time EOG signal classifier for microcontrollers is proposed. The classifier is based on Deterministic Finite Automata (DFA). The system is capable of classifying sixteen different EOG signals. The viability of the system was tested by performing online experiments with able bodied subjects.

01 Jan 2015TL;DR: The basic idea of this summarization system is to identify the important sentences and also to extract them based on its relevance with other sentences, which is mainly focused on the Hindi language.
Abstract: Automatic Summarization is the process of generating or extracting the important sentences from the given input document. Since there are many such systems for English language so this proposed system is mainly focused on the Hindi language. The basic idea of this summarization system is to identify the important sentences and also to extract them based on its relevance with other sentences. In case of summarization the sentences in the summarized document should be meaningful and relevant to each other, which are achieved using sentential semantic analysis. For finding the relation between each sentence and also to analyze for the importance, the Graph based approach is found to be more appropriate. Based on the frequency of words occurrence in the input document, the sentences are ranked and the ranks are used to identify the important sentences in the document. The relevance between each sentence in the document with other sentences is found using semantic similarity. There may be same information conveyed by two different sentences whose semantic similarity score is very high. Such kind of sentences has to be kept only once in the output. For which an analysis has been performed over various semantically similar sentences. Finally, the identified relevant sentences are merged using the rank and the semantic analysis of the sentences. These identified sentences are rearranged to provide a proper meaningful summarized text to avoid textual continuity in the output text. The system is found to perform well in terms of precision, recall and F-measure with various input documents.

TL;DR: In this paper, a single-channel thermally tunable photonic filter by cascading two one-dimensional superconductor-dielectric photonic crystals (SDPCs) through low loss silica fiber for wavelength selective switching (WSS) application is presented theoretically.
Abstract: A novel design of a single-channel thermally tunable photonic filter by cascading two one-dimensional (1D) superconductor-dielectric photonic crystals (SDPCs) through low loss silica fiber for wavelength selective switching (WSS) application is being presented theoretically. This filter is capable to separate and switch unique wavelength channel (without interfering with each other) from 12 equally spaced wavelength channels adopted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). It may be used in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM)-based optical networks for routing signals at specific wavelengths into an optical fiber with minimum distortion. This idea may also be explored in the design of very precise thermal sensing devices for remote sensing applications.
