TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of homovalent Pr3+ and Y3+ substitution on the crystal structure, dielectric, electronic polarization and magnetic properties of the BiFeO3 multiferroic ceramic was studied.
Abstract: Here we studied the effect of homovalent Pr3+ and Y3+ substitution on the crystal structure, dielectric, electronic polarization and magnetic properties of the BiFeO3 multiferroic ceramic. The samples were synthesized by the conventional solid-state reaction method. Pure phase formation of Pr doped BiFeO3 (BFO) has been obtained, while Y3+ doped BFO has shown a few impurity peaks. It has shown that the crystal structure of the compounds is described within the space group R3c. Pr3+ modified BFO has shown an anomaly in the e
r
vs. T plot around and a Neel temperature ‘T
N’∼370 ∘C. P–E hysteresis loops have shown higher value of remnant polarization for Pr3+ modified BFO. Magnetic properties of ceramics are determined by the ionic radius of the substituting element. Experimental results propose that the increase in the radius of A-site ion leads to effective suppression of the spiral spin structure of BiFeO3, resulting in the appearance of net magnetization.

TL;DR: This review discusses several facets which contribute towards developing an efficient therapeutic regime for gene therapy, highlighting limitations and drawbacks associated with current GT and suggested therapeutic regimes.
Abstract: In recent times, several approaches for targeted gene therapy (GT) had been studied. However, the emergence of extracellular vesicles (EVs) as a shuttle carrying genetic information between cells has gained a lot of interest in scientific communities. Owing to their higher capabilities in dealing with short sequences of nucleic acid (mRNA, miRNA), proteins, recombinant proteins, exosomes, the most popular form of EVs are viewed as reliable biological therapeutic conveyers. They have natural access through every biological membrane and can be employed for site-specific and efficient drug delivery without eliciting any immune responses hence, qualifying as an ideal delivery vehicle. Also, there are many research studies conducted in the last few decades on using exosome-mediated gene therapy into developing an effective therapy with the concept of a higher degree of precision in gene isolation, purification and delivery mechanism loading, delivery and targeting protocols. This review discusses several facets that contribute towards developing an efficient therapeutic regime for gene therapy, highlighting limitations and drawbacks associated with current GT and suggested therapeutic regimes.

01 Dec 2016TL;DR: In this work, an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) system of isolated words for Maithili dialect is presented and centered to perceive Maithilia dialect words utilized for telephone security and internet searchers, or programmed dialing and managing banking security frameworks.
Abstract: In this work, an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) system of isolated words for Maithili dialect is presented. Isolated Word Recognition (IWR) systems recognize a spoken word by a person through a microphone or some other devices. In this work, we have centered to perceive Maithili dialect words utilized for telephone security and internet searchers, or programmed dialing and managing banking security frameworks. The speech signals of Maithili words are changed over into an arrangement of highlight vectors and the elements utilized are Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC). The IWR is demonstrated with these element vectors utilizing Hidden Markov Model (HMM). The HMM-based dialect models and acoustic models with a vocabulary of words have been utilized for computing misclassification rate for Maithili words covering every one of the vowels of the Maithili phoneme utilizing five folded cross-validation process.

TL;DR: This review provides an overview of the granted patents including the current status of antiviral strategies targeting CHIKV, a reemerging human arthropod borne virus, which has become a serious health concern due to the unavailability of any antiviral therapy/vaccine.
Abstract: Introduction: Chikungunya virus (CHIKV), a reemerging human arthropod borne virus, can causes global epidemic outbreaks and has become a serious health concern due to the unavailability of any antiviral therapy/vaccine. Extensive research has been conducted to target different proteins from CHIKV to curtail the spread of virus.Areas covered: This review provides an overview of the granted patents including the current status of antiviral strategies targeting CHIKV.Expert opinion: Under the current scenario, potential molecules and different approaches have been utilized to suppress CHIKV infection. MV-CHIKV and VRC-CHKVLP059-00-VP vaccine candidates have successfully completed phase I clinical trials and ribavirin (inhibitor) has shown significant inhibition of CHIKV replication and could be the most promising candidates. The drug resistance and toxicity can be modulated by using the inhibitors/drugs in combination. Moreover, nanoparticle formulations can improve the efficacy and bioavailability of drugs.
