TL;DR: In this article, the impact of aligned magnetic field, Ohmic dissipation and viscous dissipation on a non-similar nanofluid flow over a plate with no flux condition was investigated.
Abstract: The present semi-analytical investigation covers the impact of aligned magnetic field, Ohmic dissipation and viscous dissipation on a non-similar nanofluid flow over a plate with no flux condition. The system of equations is transformed into the non-dimensional system of nonlinear partial differential equations to get solution using homotopy analysis method (HAM). The entropy generation analysis measuring disorderness of the system is also presented. The influence of physical parameters on momentum, temperature and concentration boundary layer thickness is discussed. The secondary variables ( C f , N u ) and entropy generation number ( Ns ) are also explored for present MHD model. The angle of inclination of magnetic field is found be controlling parameter for the minimization of skin friction.

TL;DR: In this paper, the steady, two-dimensional, heat and mass transfer of a mixed convection magneto-micropolar fluid flow over a non-permeable linearly stretching cylinder embedded in a porous medium in the presence of thermal radiation and first order chemical reaction with convective boundary condition is investigated.
Abstract: In this paper, the steady, two-dimensional, heat and mass transfer of a mixed convection magneto-micropolar fluid flow over a non-permeable linearly stretching cylinder embedded in a porous medium in the presence of thermal radiation and first order chemical reaction with convective boundary condition is investigated. Using similarity transformations, the governing boundary layer equations are transformed into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations which are solved numerically using the finite element method. Graphical variations of the velocity, micro-rotation, temperature and concentration functions across the boundary layer are presented to depict the influence of the controlling parameters. Numerical data for the skin friction, couple stress, rate of heat and mass transfer have also been tabulated for various values of the thermophysical parameters. A comparison of the present results with earlier studies shows excellent agreement, thereby demonstrating the accuracy of the present numerical code. The study finds applications in chemical reaction engineering processes, magnetic materials processing, solar collector energy systems, etc.

TL;DR: In this article, the security of the proposed schemes against a set of attacks (e.g., Gaussian quantum cloning machine and intercept resend attacks) has been proved, and it is established that these proposed schemes do not require two-mode squeezed states which are essential for existing proposals.
Abstract: Continuous variable one-way and controlled-two-way secure direct quantum communication schemes have been designed using Gaussian states. Specifically, a scheme for continuous variable quantum secure direct communication and another scheme for continuous variable controlled quantum dialogue are proposed using single-mode squeezed coherent states. The security of the proposed schemes against a set of attacks (e.g., Gaussian quantum cloning machine and intercept resend attacks) has been proved. Further, it is established that the proposed schemes do not require two-mode squeezed states which are essential for a set of existing proposals. The controlled two-way communication scheme is shown to be very general in nature as it can be reduced to schemes for various relatively simpler cryptographic tasks like controlled deterministic secure communication, quantum dialogue, quantum key distribution. In addition, it is briefly discussed that the proposed schemes can provide us tools to design quantum cryptographic solutions for several socioeconomic problems.

Abstract: The present study focuses on embedding the Supply chain management concepts on to the education sector i.e. educational supply chain management. It is an important area of research as it helps in the management of one of the most important sector of a country, viz. the education sector. The objective here is to measure efficiency of 19 departments of Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), a reputed higher education institute of India.
