TL;DR: In this article, the solid solutions (1-x) BiFeO3 - (x) Ba Zr0.025Ti0.975O3 (0.3) have been verified through differential scanning calorimetry and dielectric/impedance/conductivity measurements.
Abstract: Investigations on the solid solutions (1-x) BiFeO3 - (x) Ba Zr0.025Ti0.975O3 (0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.3) in the temperature range 300–750 K show colossal permittivity behavior and the occurrence of diffuse phase ferroelectric transition along with frequency dependent anomaly which disappears at temperature ∼450 K. For x = 0.3, these anomalies have been verified through differential scanning calorimetry and dielectric/impedance/conductivity measurements. The occurrence of peak in pyrocurrent (dPs/dT) vs. T plots also supports phase transition. With the increasing x, transition temperature decreases and diffusivity increases. This anomaly is absent at high frequencies (>100 kHz) in conductivity plots, indicating Polomska like surface phase transition, which is supported by modulus study.

01 Nov 2011TL;DR: The aim is to analyze and compare the performance of COFDM using Turbo codes and Reed Solomon code with 1/2 and 2/3 convolution codes (CC) as channel coding techniques in Rayleigh, Rician & Nakagami fading environments.
Abstract: In wireless communication, to attain high throughput and better transmission quality. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is one of the techniques for parallel transmission. It is used for a various services such as asymmetric digital subscriber lines, very-high speed digital subscriber lines, digital video and audio broadcasting, and wide local area network standards such as IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11g, and European telecommunication standard institute (ETSI). However in fading environments the bit error rate (BER) increases. The performance can be improved by using some kind of channel coding. This form of OFDM is called coded-OFDM (COFDM). In this paper our aim is to analyze and compare the performance of COFDM using Turbo codes {with Log-MAP (Maximum A Posteriori) decoding} and Reed Solomon (RS) code with 1/2 and 2/3 convolution codes (CC) as channel coding techniques in Rayleigh, Rician & Nakagami fading environments. The performance parameter is BER and the mapping schemes used are BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM. All other parameters are as per IEEE 802.11a specifications.

TL;DR: A group of enzymes which are capable of degrading phosphate containing organic molecules, henceforth release inorganic phosphorus in a stepwise reaction has proved to be beneficial in many aspects as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: Focusing towards sustainable and environment friendly agricultural techniques, phytase enzymes have proved to be beneficial in many aspects. It is a group of enzymes, which are capable of degrading phosphate containing organic molecules, henceforth release inorganic phosphorus in a stepwise reaction. Studies have shown that soil contain phosphorus mainly in the form of an organic compound, phytate, which cannot be directly utilized by plants and can cause heavy contamination. Hence, phytases are exogenously added which modify these molecules such that their uptake can enhance the growth of plants and provide appropriate nutrition. Numerous phytases have now been characterized from different sources and employed to protein engineering techniques, bioremediation of phytate-contaminated soil, animal nutrition and in food processing for humans, which has now included the enzyme in the category of nutraceuticals. Formulations in phytase enzyme have helped in achieving good stability during storage, high bioefficacy, and dust freeness.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present numerical evidence using Monte Carlo simulations of finite temperature phase transition in two dimensional Coulomb Glass lattice model with random site energies at half-filling.
Abstract: We present numerical evidence using Monte Carlo simulations of finite temperature phase transition in two dimensional Coulomb Glass lattice model with random site energies at half-filling. For the disorder strengths (W) studied in this paper, we find the existence of charge-ordered phase (COP) below the critical temperature (Tc(W)). Also, the probability distribution of staggered magnetization calculated at each W shows a two-peak structure at their respective critical temperature. Thus the phase transition from fluid to COP as a function of temperature is second order for all W. We find no evidence of a spin glass phase between a fluid and the COP. Further, we have used finite-size scaling analysis to calculate the critical exponents. The critical exponents at zero disorder are different from the one found at finite disorders, which indicates that the disorder is a relevant parameter here. The critical exponent for correlation length ν increases and Tc decreases with increasing disorder. Similar behaviour for ν was seen in the work of Overlin et al. for three dimensional Coulomb Glass model with a positional disorder. Our study also shows that other critical exponents are also a function of disorder.

26 Sep 2013TL;DR: This paper presents trust based Ad hoc On Demand Routing protocol for MANET which works on the concept of honest value which is calculated on the idea of hop and trust to protect the network from malicious node.
Abstract: Mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANET) is a set of wireless nodes without any fixed infrastructure or base station, in which nodes communicate directly to the other nodes within its transmission range over relatively bandwidth constrained wireless links. MANET is vulnerable to various types of attacks from malicious nodes due to its spontaneous nature of communication and the absence of centralized administrator. There are many attacks in MANET due to which the legitimacy of a network is compromised such as, Black Hole Attack, Worm Hole Attack, Byzantine attack, DoS attack. So, secure communication in MANET is essential and challenging task. In this paper, we present trust based Ad hoc On Demand Routing protocol for MANET. Our proposed algorithm works on the concept of honest value which is calculated on the concept of hop and trust to protect the network from malicious node. The performance of the proposed protocol is analyzed using throughput, number of drop packets, packet delivery ratio and number of received packets with the variation of number of nodes, speed and simulation time. Results show that the proposed method has better performance and enhance the security in the network.
