TL;DR: In this article, a surface plasmon resonance based fiber optic sensor with bilayers of ITO-Au coated on the core of the optical fiber is presented and theoretically analyzed.
Abstract: A surface plasmon resonance based fiber optic sensor with bilayers of ITO–Au coated on the core of the optical fiber is presented and theoretically analyzed. The proposed sensor possesses high sensitivity with two resonance dips, one in the visible and other in the near infrared region of spectrum. With optimized values of thicknesses of ITO and Au layers to be 100 nm and 35 nm respectively, the highly sensitive SPR sensor has been shown to have 1929 nm/RIU and 929 nm/RIU sensitivities for left and right resonance dips respectively.

07 Mar 2019TL;DR: To develop a weather forecasting system that can be used in remote areas is the main motivation of this work and the data analytics and machine learning algorithms are used to predict weather conditions.
Abstract: The activities of many primary sectors depend on the weather for production, e.g. farming. The climate is changing at a drastic rate nowadays, which makes the old weather prediction methods less effective and more hectic. To overcome these difficulties, the improved and reliable weather prediction methods are required. These predictions affect a nation's economy and the lives of people. To develop a weather forecasting system that can be used in remote areas is the main motivation of this work. The data analytics and machine learning algorithms, such as random forest classification, are used to predict weather conditions. In this paper, a low-cost and portable solution for weather prediction is devised.

01 Dec 2012TL;DR: An approach for managing trust in Cloud IaaS is proposed based on the existing model that is suitable for trust value management for the cloud IAAS parameters.
Abstract: Trust Models are used to enhance secure and reliable scheduling in Distributed, Grid and Cloud environment. Trust models that are being proposed or implemented in Distributed and Grid environment, does not fully fit in cloud computing environment. Since the parameters that have being taken into consideration in these trust models, does not fit in the cloud Infrastructure As A Service, a suitable trust model is proposed based on the existing model that is suitable for trust value management for the cloud IaaS parameters. Based on the above achieved trust values, a scheduling is done for better allocation of resources and further enhance the QOS of services been provided to the users. In this paper, an approach for managing trust in Cloud IaaS is proposed.
