TL;DR: In this article, the authors have made an exhaustive study on different blockchain based self sovereign identity implementations (such as Sovrin, Uport, EverID, LifeID, Sora, SelfKey) along with its architectural components and discuss about use case of Self sovereign identity.
Abstract: The Internet has changed business, education, healthcare, banking etc. and it is the main part of technological evolution. Internet provides us a connecting world to perform our day to day life activities easily. Internet is designed in such a way that it can uniquely identify machine, not a person, on the network hence there is need to design a system that can perform entity identification on the Internet. Currently on Internet, service providers provide identity of a user with user name and password and store this information on a centralized server. These servers become honey pot for hackers to steal user’s personal identity information and service provider can utilize user identity information using data mining, artificial intelligence for economic benefits. Aim of Self sovereign identity system is to provide decentralized, user centric identity system which is controlled by identity owner that can be developed along with distributed ledger technology i.e. blockchain. In this paper, we intend to make an exhaustive study on different blockchain based self sovereign identity implementations (such as Sovrin, Uport, EverID, LifeID, Sora, SelfKey) along with its architectural components and discuss about use case of self sovereign identity.

TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic and optical properties of beryllium diphosphide (BeP2) were investigated under biaxial Lagrangian strain using density functional theory.
Abstract: Recently, the two-dimensional (2D) material beryllium diphosphide (BeP2) has attracted significant attention for potential device applications due to its Dirac semimetal state, dynamic and thermal stability, and high carrier mobility. In this work, we investigated its electronic and optical properties under biaxial Lagrangian strain using density functional theory (DFT). Electronic band gaps and effective charge carrier mass were highly sensitive to the Lagrangian strain of BeP2 monolayer. The bandgaps of BeP2 varied from 0 eV to 0.30 eV for 2% to 8% strain, where the strain range is based on the final stable condition of the system. The absorption spectra for the dielectric properties show the highest absorption peaks in the infrared (IR) region. These abundant strain-dependent studies of the BeP2 monolayer provide guidelines for its application in infrared sensors and devices.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the middle atmospheric ozone variability using 14 (2002-2015) years of Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry onboard Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energetics and Dynamics satellite observations over the mid-latitude regions of northern and southern hemispheres.
Abstract: The present study focuses on the middle atmospheric ozone variability using 14 (2002–2015) years of Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry onboard Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energetics and Dynamics satellite observations over the mid-latitude regions of northern and southern hemispheres. It is noted that ozone buildup starts late winter, and peaks during the springtime and gradually decreases in summer to autumn transitional period in both the hemispheres. The time series of ozone indicates the dominant annual and semi-annual oscillations in the middle atmosphere. The annual oscillation (AO) is found to be dominant over both the hemispheres, while the semi-annual oscillation (SAO) peaks at two different altitude regions: 30–60 km and 80–100 km. Further, the amplitude of AO is much significant than SSAO and MSAO. It is also noted another significant oscillation that peaks at ~ 4 months in the altitude range 60–80 km. The strength of these oscillations at different sites is studied by comparing it with the zonal mean spectrum to assess the longitudinal asymmetry. It is found that the longitudinal asymmetry is more significant in the northern hemisphere than the southern hemisphere. This can be attributed to the differences in the land (elevated topographies in the northern hemisphere) and primarily ocean (in southern hemisphere) contrast that further contributes to the differences in the strength of the vertically propagating planetary-scale waves modulating the middle atmospheric ozone.

TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive and reproducible HPLC method based on HPLC fingerprint analysis was developed for assessing the quality of Vitex negundo (Nagod) leaves.
Abstract: Vitex negundo (Nagod) is a very useful medicinal plant growing throughout India. The leaves of Nagod are aromatic, tonic and vermifuge. They are useful in the treatment of many ailments. Both seasonal and geographical variations have been observed in the active constituents in Vitex negundo. A comprehensive and reproducible HPLC method based on HPLC fingerprint analysis was developed for assessing the quality of Vitex negundo. Sixteen samples of Nagod collected from different locations and seasons of India were analysed by HPLC and chromatograms were recorded for each of them using PDA detector and 10 peaks were considered for further data analysis. The data were then treated for PCA and cluster analysis using Minitab software. PCA and HCA analysis were used in determining the variability in the leaves of Nagod collected from different places and seasons. The method was useful for discriminating the location of plant within or outside Gujarat but was unable to display any effective seasonal variation in collected samples.

TL;DR: A novel method based on reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to photodiode array detector was established and validated for sitopaladi churna and showed that it was simple, precise and stable.
Abstract: "Sitopaladi churna," a well-known formulation of Ayurveda, is prescribed to treat the disease like Bronchitis, Pneumonia, allergic conditions, viral infection of the respiratory tract and as a natural antioxidant. A novel method based on reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) coupled to photodiode array detector was established and validated for sitopaladi churna. Here, HPLC fingerprints data obtained for 28 samples including standard sample were then treated to chemometric analysis like principal component analysis and hierarchical clustering analysis for further analysis to evaluate the differences in market samples of sitopaladi churna. Additionally, one major marker compound, piperine was quantified and it also facilitated for relative retention time. The simulative mean spectrum was also generated. The validation results showed that the developed method was simple, precise and stable. Thus, the developed chromatographic method adjoined with multivariate analysis can be used as an efficient and practical approach for quality assessment of sitopaladi churna.

Abstract: The article describes a systematic study to overcome the matrix effect during chromatographic analysis of gemfibrozil, rivastigmine, telmisartan and tacrolimus from biological fluids using LC-ESI-MS/MS. All four methods were thoroughly developed by the appropriate choice of analytical column, elution mode and pH of mobile phase for improved chromatography and overall method performance. Matrix effect was assessed by post-column analyte infusion, slope of calibration line approach and post-extraction spiking. The best chromatographic conditions established were: Acquity BEH C18 (50 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 μm) column with 5.0 mm ammonium acetate, pH 6.0-methanol as the mobile phase under gradient program for gemfibrozil; Luna CN (50 × 2.0 mm, 3 μm) column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-10 mm ammonium acetate, pH 7.0 (90:10, v/v) for rivastigmine; Inertsustain C18 (100 × 2.0 mm, 5 μm) column using methanol-2.0 mm ammonium formate, pH 5.5 (80: 20, v/v) as the mobile phase for isocratic elution of telmisartan; and Acquity BEH C18 (50 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 μm) with methanol-10 mm ammonium acetate, pH 6.0 (95:5, v/v) as mobile phase for tacrolimus. The methods were thoroughly validated as per European Medicines Agency and US Food and Drug Administration guidance and were successfully applied for pharmacokinetic studies in healthy subjects.

TL;DR: In this paper, a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is applied to design the coordinated parameters of static VAR compensator (SVC) and Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC).
Abstract: The grow of electrical energy utilization and day by day increment of nonlinear loads in power system forced for high electrical power and better stability. Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) is a key solution for power system performance enhancement. Based on that, a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is ap pl i e d to design the coordinated parameters of static VAR compensator (SVC) and Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC). A self-sufficient model of IEEE fourteen bus system has been taken and voltage stability analysis is done by considering load changing at a bus and change of power factor at load. PSO applied here is built on searching the values of L and C of SVC. PSO is available with few modification like change in PSO range & number, difference in selection criteria technique, control technique etc., with due respect to normalize PSO. From the results, it is found that coordination of FACTS devices with each other promises the efficiency of the suggested method for enhancement of voltage stability.
