TL;DR: A novel method based on reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to photodiode array detector was established and validated for sitopaladi churna and showed that it was simple, precise and stable.
Abstract: "Sitopaladi churna," a well-known formulation of Ayurveda, is prescribed to treat the disease like Bronchitis, Pneumonia, allergic conditions, viral infection of the respiratory tract and as a natural antioxidant. A novel method based on reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) coupled to photodiode array detector was established and validated for sitopaladi churna. Here, HPLC fingerprints data obtained for 28 samples including standard sample were then treated to chemometric analysis like principal component analysis and hierarchical clustering analysis for further analysis to evaluate the differences in market samples of sitopaladi churna. Additionally, one major marker compound, piperine was quantified and it also facilitated for relative retention time. The simulative mean spectrum was also generated. The validation results showed that the developed method was simple, precise and stable. Thus, the developed chromatographic method adjoined with multivariate analysis can be used as an efficient and practical approach for quality assessment of sitopaladi churna.

TL;DR: Graphene dependent attenuators and single and multi-frequency constructible antennas are designed employing the tunability of graphene in this article, where the authors claim that printed graphene has the potential to be a competent alternative for RFID applications.
Abstract: Many researchers claim that graphene, a specially studied carbon allotrope, has a single layer of atoms organized in a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice. Because of its exceptional electronic and mechanical properties, it has a significant job to perform in redefining future technologies. Although graphene has made a major breakthrough to be considered for a wide area of applications, most of the interesting properties of graphene are still at the early stage of research. Graphene dependent attenuators and single and multi-frequency constructible antennas are designed employing the tunability of graphene. As the name indicates, the form of RF technology that uses electromagnetic fields for automatic identification purposes of tags attached to objects is termed as radio frequency identification (RFID). For years, the use of pricy raw materials and intricate fabrication processes in metal coating and metal based conductive inks in printed electronics kept the involved cost very high. So, it is inevitable to replace the existing fabrication process with cheaper materials and simpler techniques. Researchers assert that printed graphene has the potential to be a competent alternative for RFID applications.

TL;DR: The article describes a systematic study to overcome matrix effect during chromatographic analysis of gemfibrozil, rivastigmine, telmisartan and tacrolimus from biological fluids using LC-ESI-MS/MS and successfully applied for pharmacokinetic studies in healthy subjects.
Abstract: The article describes a systematic study to overcome the matrix effect during chromatographic analysis of gemfibrozil, rivastigmine, telmisartan and tacrolimus from biological fluids using LC-ESI-MS/MS. All four methods were thoroughly developed by the appropriate choice of analytical column, elution mode and pH of mobile phase for improved chromatography and overall method performance. Matrix effect was assessed by post-column analyte infusion, slope of calibration line approach and post-extraction spiking. The best chromatographic conditions established were: Acquity BEH C18 (50 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 μm) column with 5.0 mm ammonium acetate, pH 6.0-methanol as the mobile phase under gradient program for gemfibrozil; Luna CN (50 × 2.0 mm, 3 μm) column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-10 mm ammonium acetate, pH 7.0 (90:10, v/v) for rivastigmine; Inertsustain C18 (100 × 2.0 mm, 5 μm) column using methanol-2.0 mm ammonium formate, pH 5.5 (80: 20, v/v) as the mobile phase for isocratic elution of telmisartan; and Acquity BEH C18 (50 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 μm) with methanol-10 mm ammonium acetate, pH 6.0 (95:5, v/v) as mobile phase for tacrolimus. The methods were thoroughly validated as per European Medicines Agency and US Food and Drug Administration guidance and were successfully applied for pharmacokinetic studies in healthy subjects.

TL;DR: Through the proposed framework, HCI is step forward toward providing integrated health care databases with the health care knowledgebase, and the benefits gained and challenges faced in the smooth execution of generating health analytics are identified.
Abstract: This chapter proposes the conceptual framework, designing framework, and implementation framework of the Health Care Cube integrator. The Health Care Cube integrator is a knowledgebase that stores health records collected from various health care databases. Furthermore, the health record is used for health analytics and discovery of health knowledge from an individual and an organizational viewpoint. Based on a research publications review and research gap, the research objective is defined: to delineate and develop the Health Care Cube knowledgebase. Healthcare Cube is the name given to knowledge based in the NoSQL database MongoDB, the disruptive database technologies. The Health Care Cube knowledgebase stores a variety of data in schema-free form, contains the health records of employees of an organization, and integrates employee health records from assorted databases. To extract data from assorted databases, we have developed an extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processing tool, the healthcare cube integrator (HCI), using djngo python. We have implemented the complete system in AWS cloud. Thus, through the proposed framework, HCI is step forward toward providing integrated health care databases with the health care knowledgebase. We have tested this solution with the employees of organizations and with their medical facilitators like doctors, pathological labs, etc. We have identified the benefits gained and challenges faced in the smooth execution of generating health analytics. This chapter is organized in five sections.
