TL;DR: In this article, the micro-Raman scattering spectra of CoPc thin films were investigated in the spectral range 200 - 1800 cm-1 at room temperature for different wavelengths excitation (488 nm and 785 nm).
Abstract: In this paper we present study of cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) thin films deposited on quartz and diamond substrates. The different diamond substrates were obtained using chemical vapour deposition method (CVD). The micro-Raman scattering spectra of CoPc thin films deposited onto quartz and diamond substrates were investigated in the spectral range 200 – 1800 cm-1 at room temperature for different wavelengths excitation (488 nm and 785 nm). The Raman modes A1g and B1g are connected with different polymorphic of metallophthalocyanine phase of CoPc thin films deposited on substrates (α and β form). Using confocal and surface Raman mapping we also obtained information on polymorphic phase of CoPc layers deposited on different diamond substrates. We observed both, change and distribution of polymorphic phase of CoPc thin films deposited on the surface. The observed feature can be probably caused by the change of crystalline form of CoPc thin layer and different size of crystallites of the diamond substrates. (© 2010 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. TL;DR: Ultrasonic noncontact methods of testing civil engineering materials in air, where both transmission of waves into materials and reception of signals are contactless, are reviewed, with particular attention to enhancement of the signal-to-noise ratio by using coded signals.
Abstract: Ultrasonic noncontact methods of testing civil engineering materials in air, where both transmission of waves into materials and reception of signals are contactless, are reviewed. A short history and technical details of noncontact methods related to generation, reception, and transmission of waves are presented. Particular attention is devoted to enhancement of the signal-to-noise ratio by using coded signals. Next, examples of currently available solutions dedicated to (1) estimation of bulk properties of materials, (2) evaluation of state of concrete cover, (3) flaw detection, and (4) identification of structural parameters of porous materials are discussed. Applications of laser techniques, classical echo, direct through transmission, and different types of semicontact methods are topics that are not reviewed in this paper. Finally, the benefits and limitations as well as expected directions of further development of the noncontact techniques are indicated.

TL;DR: In this article, a model for classification of motor and functional fitness in adolescent female students was proposed to determine the motor contribution and functional contribution of each adolescent to improving and fully developing the pedagogic control of girls' motor performance.
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to build a model for classification of motor and functional fitness in adolescent female students. To achieve this purpose, girls in 7 (n=31), 8 (n=26), and 9 grade (n=28) were recruited with appropriate parental consent. To build the classification model, each adolescent performed and number of motor tests and the Stange, Genchi, Serkin tests of functional state. Canonical discriminant function analyses were conducted to determine the motor and functional fitness contributions. Two significant functions (p<.001) resulted with the first function explaining 86.8% and the second 13.2% of the variance between grade levels. Based on the model, it was possible to classify girls’ grade and thus biological age based on the performed tests. Structural coefficients from the first canonical discriminant function pointed to substantial difference between girls in 7 grade compared to 8 and 9 grade at the end of motor coordination’s development as well as speed, power, and Stange’s test results. Structural coefficients of second canonical discriminant function pointed to substantial difference between girls in 8th and 9 grade based on static and relative arm muscle strength. For improving and fully developing the pedagogic control of girls’ motor and functional fitness, the first discriminant function should be used as it explained most of the grade differences.

TL;DR: In this article, the infrared absorption spectra of gadolinium gallium garnet crystals doped with Ce is presented. And the authors show that the symmetry of the site occupied by Ce ions, which substitute Gd${}^{3+}$, is higher than expected for garnet hosts.
Abstract: Low temperature, infrared absorption spectra of gadolinium gallium garnet crystals doped with Ce are presented. In the region of intraconfigurational 4$f$-4$f$ transitions the spectra exhibit existence of at least two different, major Ce${}^{3+}$ related centers in the GGG crystals and also some other centers at lower concentration. The spectrum of 4$f$-4$f$ intrashell transitions of Ce${}^{3+}$ ions extends up to about 3700 cm${}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ due to the large splitting of the ${}^{2}$${F}_{7/2}$ excited state. In the visible region the absorption spectrum shows influence of symmetry-related selection rules. The absorption coefficient changes in the region of 4${f}^{1}$-5${d}^{1}$ transitions due to thermal population of the second level, belonging to the ${}^{2}$${F}_{5/2}$ ground state. This suggests that the symmetry of the site occupied by Ce${}^{3+}$ ions, which substitute Gd${}^{3+}$, is higher than ${D}_{2}$ expected for garnet hosts.
