TL;DR: The chiral resolution of the environmental pollutants by capillary electrophoresis is reviewed and detection, sample treatment, validation of the methods, and the chiral recognition mechanisms, have been discussed.
Abstract: The chiral resolution of the environmental pollutants by capillary electrophoresis is reviewed. Various aspects of the chiral resolution such as chiral selectors, optimization of capillary electrophoresis conditions including composition of the background electrolyte (BGE), pH of the BGE, ionic strength of the BGE, structures and types of the chiral selectors, applied voltage, temperature, structures of the chiral pollutants, use of organic modifiers and other parameters are presented. Furthermore, detection, sample treatment, validation of the methods, and the chiral recognition mechanisms, have been discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an ion selective PVC membrane electrode for determination of propranolol is developed, which exhibits excellent potential respon se properties, showing a Nernstian response in the concentration of 3.0 〈 10-6~ 2.6 mV with the slope of 54.7 mV per decade.
Abstract: A novel ion selective PVC membrane electrode for determination of propranolol is developed. Silicotungstic acid is used as the counter ion and diisononyl phthalate (DNP) used as the plastizer. The electrode exhibits excellent potential respon se properties, showing a Nernstian response in the concentration of 3.0 〈 10-6~ 2.6 〈 10-2 M with the slope of 54.7 mV per decade, shorter conditioning time (~ 3 h), fast response time (40 s), a lower limit of detection (1.0 〈 10-7 M). The electrode is success- fully used for the analysis of propranolol in pharmaceutical formulation with the recoveries of 99.2 ~ 102.6 %, by using a direct potentiometric method and which does not require tedious sample preparation.

TL;DR: A rapid, sensitive and reproducible HPLC method was developed and validated for the analysis of haloperidol and its three main metabolites in human plasma.
Abstract: A rapid, sensitive and reproducible HPLC method was developed and validated for the analysis of haloperidol and its three main metabolites in human plasma. The analysis was carried out on a monolithic silica column (Chromolith Performance RP-18e, 100 x 4.6 mm). The mobile phase consisted of sodium phosphate (0.1 m, pH 3.5)-acetonitrile (80:20, v/v) at a flow rate of 2.0 mL/min. UV detection at 230 nm was used, with the detection limits of these compounds ranging from 2 to 5 ng. The separation factors of all studied compounds were in the range 2.30-16.32, while the resolution factors were from 1.00 to 5.37.

TL;DR: The enantiomeric resolution of adrenergic β 2 -agonists (clenbuterol, cimaterol, and mabuterol) has been achieved with methanol-acetonitrile-triethylamine (80:20:0.05) as mobile phase as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The enantiomeric resolution of adrenergic β 2 -agonists (clenbuterol, cimaterol, and mabuterol) on different Chirobiotic columns (Chirobiotic V, T, and TAG) has been achieved with methanol-acetonitrile-triethylamine (80:20:0.05, v/v/v) as mobile phase. The a values of the resolved enantiomers of clenbuterol, cimaterol, and mabuterol were 1.10 to 4.26 while the values of R s varied from 1.0 to 2.10. The resolution was in the order of Chirobiotic V > Chirobiotic TAG > Chirobiotic T whereas the enantioselectivity was in the order of Chirobiotic TAG > Chirobiotic V > Chirobiotic T. The enantiomeric resolution of adrenergic β 2 -agonists on Chirobiotic columns is governed by a complex mechanism involving various types of steric interactions.
