TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the nature of the association and the possible existence of a short-run and long-run relationship between the stock-market indices of South Africa, India, and the USA.
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the nature of the association and the possible existence of a shortrun and long-run relationship between the stock-market indices of South Africa, India and the USA. The idea behind this combination is to know how the stock markets of these three prominent countries are related to each other. The study employs monthly data from the stock indices, namely JALSH (South Africa), NIFTY (India) and NASDAQ (USA) composite from April 2004 to March 2014. After testing for the normality of the data distribution and the stationarity of the time series data, this paper discovered a strong correlation between the stock market indices of South Africa, India and the USA. The correlation among the stock markets is high, particularly between South Africa and India. In addition, the paper attempts to discover the presence of any predictive ability among these markets by applying the Granger causality test. The result indicates that the NASDAQ index has no predictive ability as far as the JALSH and NIFTY indices are concerned. However, the JALSH index has a predictive ability on the NIFTY index. After testing the Granger cause relationship, the existence of a long-run and short-run relationship is tested. The long-run relationships among the stock market indices are analysed, following the Johansen and Juselius multivariate cointegration approach. The result suggests the absence of a long-run relationship among the three stock market indices. Short-run relationship is investigated with the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model, and the outcome obtained shows that both the USA and the South African stock markets are predicted only by their own past lags. However, the Indian stock market is seen to be a function of its own past lags and the past lags of the South African stock index.

TL;DR: A real time regular monitoring system to recognize the disease and the pesticides in the fruits the common man is consuming and send the information to the cloud, which is then processed and sent to the application present in the consumer’s smart phone which is developed in HTML5.
Abstract: The use of pesticides, steroids and fertilizers has tremendously increased the negative effects caused to the people in terms of health. Harmful pesticides enter into the human body through fruits and vegetables, so an optimal solution is needed to recognize the disease and the pesticides in the fruits the common man is consuming. Hardware and a software design are done to obtain an accurate and a real time output. In this paper, a prototype of the system is developed with the use of four sensors, (temperature, gas, pH and moisture), Arduino microcontroller and a Wi-Fi module to get the information about the presence of pesticides. The maximum level of pesticides that is accepted legally to be consumed by animals and humans is given by MRL. If a fruit is detected to belong in a range above or below the MRL then it is said to contain pesticides. Through IoT, the pesticide content and the values obtained from each sensors are stored in the Cloud server MATLAB ThikSpeak. Coming to the software design, CNN and SVM algorithms are chosen and the image of the fruit is diagnosed by them. Two algorithms are mainly used to compare the accuracy produced by both and to select the most accurate between the two. Deep Learning process is performed on the image of the fruit and the disease affected in the fruit is identified and later stored in the Cloud server. The information about the disease in fruits and the pesticide value in fruits, the harmful effect caused by it, are sent to the cloud, which is then processed and sent to the application present in the consumer’s smart phone which is developed in HTML5, thereby a real time regular monitoring is possible.

TL;DR: To design PID controller with different tuning methods for pH Neutralization process, Branica et al. method is found to be better when compared to the other two methods.
Abstract: Objective: To design PID controller with different tuning methods for pH Neutralization process. Methods: Controlling of pH in neutral region is an important process as small change in input gives the huge change in the output. The PID controller is designed using three different tuning methods like Marlin method, Smith et al. method and Branica et al. method. The performance analysis is done for PID controllers in Acid, Neutral and Base region by keeping set point in 5, 7 and 12. Findings: From the simulation result it is found that Branica et al. method is better when compared to the other two methods. Applications/Improvements: pH Neutralization process is more important in waste water treatment, pharmaceuticals, food production etc.

TL;DR: A new architecture for the language faculty of an agent that fulfills the interaction requirements of task delegation and is behavior-management based and possesses self-management properties.
Abstract: In this paper, the authors describe a new architecture for the language faculty of an agent that fulfills the interaction requirements of task delegation. The architecture of the language faculty is based on a conceptualization of the language faculty of an agent and a definition of its internal state paradigm. The new architecture is behavior-management based and possesses self-management properties. This architecture is compared with existing abstract self-management architectures, which examines how the new architecture solves unresolved issues of older models. The architecture description is followed by a case study-Multilingual Natural Language Agent Interface for Mail Service, which illustrates its application.
