TL;DR: A comprehensive review of the fundamental theories governing the drying process is presented in this paper, where the development of models of drying of agricultural products for thin layer and deep bed drying are discussed.
Abstract: A comprehensive review of the fundamental theories governing the drying process is presented. The development of models of drying of agricultural products for thin layer and deep bed drying are discussed. The factors affecting drying and the biochemical changes which happen during drying are listed. Importance of moisture diffusion and activation energy consumption for modeling and optimizing the drying processes are highlighted. TL;DR: A simple IoT based low-cost portable and economically affordable device to detect the potholes and intimate the damaged scenario to the corresponding authorities and this methodology avoids road accidents and ensures the proper maintenance.
Abstract: One of the major causes for road accidents in Indian roads is due to the potholes and humps. There is currently no system for detecting and identifying such potholes; thus, human intervention checks are performed manually, resulting in poor road maintenance, particularly in villages. In this digital era, it becomes essential to identify and report these potholes to the corresponding authorities in an automated version. This paper proposes a simple IoT based low-cost portable and economically affordable device to detect the potholes and intimate the damaged scenario to the corresponding authorities. This methodology avoids road accidents and ensures the proper maintenance. This proposed system can be installed on the moving vehicle and images are captured and mailed to the respective authority along with the GPS coordinates, which further alert the authorities to take corrective measures. This paper mainly focuses on implementing the above technology to motorbikes in a customized version as per the user requirements. The coordinates of the Global Positioning System (GPS) location will be stored in the ThingsBoard server and hosted in the Amazon Web Service. The entire system was successfully implemented using Raspberry Pi3 Single Board Computer (SBC) to capture, analyze the images and for email communication protocol. Amazon Web Service (AWS) is used as a backend to store the GPS location of the damaged rods with 100 % reporting success rate.

TL;DR: In this paper, a Bio composite comprising Prosopis Juliflora Fiber (PJF) and Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) was processed considering two particulate sized reinforcements, coarse PJF (avg. 15 µm) and fine PJF(10-50 nm).
Abstract: A Bio composite comprising Prosopis Juliflora Fiber (PJF) and Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) was processed considering two particulate sized reinforcements, coarse PJF (avg. 15 µm) and fine PJF (10-50 nm). They were added individually at ratios of 10, 15, 20 and 25 wt% into PLA matrix. The composites were extruded and tested for mechanical properties. The addition of PJF resulted with an increase in the tensile, flexural and impact strengths of the polymer. Adding PJF to PLA showed a decrease in the hardness of the polymer. Water Absorption test showed an increase in water uptake with increasing fiber content. The most optimum ratio of PLA to PJF was found to be 80:20. The fine PJF reinforced composites proved to be superior over the coarse PJF reinforced composites at all stages of the research. FESEM and TGA were used to study morphology and thermal characteristics respectively.
