TL;DR: A series of coumarin derivatives linked with 1,2,3-triazoles has been synthesized by utilizing the copper catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction and were screened for their antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.
Abstract: A series of coumarin derivatives linked with 1,2,3-triazoles has been synthesized by utilizing the copper catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction and were screened for their antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. Some of the compounds displayed promising antibacterial activities (MIC ranging from 5-150 µg/mL) and moderate antifungal activities as compared to the respective standards. The compounds 4k and 4g displayed good antibacterial activity when compared with the standard, Ciprofloxacin, and 4n exhibited better antifungal activity when compared to other synthesized compounds. The in silico docking studies of the active compounds were carried out against the gyrase enzyme and from those studies, it was acknowledged that 4k possessed significant hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions which could be the plausible reason for its superior activity as compared to the other synthesized compounds. The compounds 4h and 4q showed promising antioxidant activity when compared with the standard, BHT, which could be attributed to the presence of electron donating substituents.

TL;DR: The number of endophytic isolates was higher in winter than in monsoon and summer seasons, and chaetomium globosum, Aspergillus niger, Aureobasidium pullulans, Curvularia lunata, and Penicillium spp.
Abstract: A total of 3611 fungal isolates were recovered from 4200 leaf segments incubated from 7 medicinal herbs during monsoon, winter and summer seasons. These fungal isolates belonged to teleomorphic Ascomycota (23.5%), anamorphic Ascomycota producing conidiomata (17.4%), anamorphic Ascomycota without conidiomata (46.9%), Zygomycota (1.42%) and sterile forms (10.6%). Chaetomium globosum, Aspergillus niger, Aureobasidium pullulans, Curvularia lunata, Fusarium spp., Penicillium spp., Pestalotiopsis spp., Trichoderma viridae, Cladosporium cladosporioides, were frequently isolated from more than one host plant. The number of endophytic isolates was higher in winter than in monsoon and summer seasons.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Zn and Zn-TiO2 composite coatings were fabricated by electrolyzing respective plating solutions of Zn, and the surface morphology of deposits was studied by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, and X ray diffraction techniques.
Abstract: The Zn and Zn-TiO2 composite coatings were fabricated by electrolyzing respective plating solutions of Zn and Zn-TiO2. The rutile TiO2 nanoparticles (size ≤100nm) were used for the preparation of composite coatings. The corrosion behavior of the deposits was examined by electrochemical methods. The anticorrosive property of coatings was supported by measuring their corrosion potential, polarization resistance, charge transfer characteristic peak and break frequency. The surface morphology of deposits was studied by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction techniques. The change in morphology of Zn-TiO2 composite with respect to Zn is correlated with their corrosion behavior.
