TL;DR: In this article, a simple approach for the accession of 1,2,3-triazole fused quinoline peptide analogues from 3-(azidomethyl)-2-chloroquinoline in a three-step mechanistic pathway was presented.
Abstract: We present, simple approach for the accession of 1,2,3-triazole fused quinoline peptide analogues from 3-(azidomethyl)-2-chloroquinoline in a three-step mechanistic pathway. The UV–Visible absorbance plot shows dynamic interaction of parent triazole derivative with CT DNA as efficient DNA intercalator (K b = 4.6 × 10−4 M−1). Finally, the efficient DNA damage was observed on photo-irradiation at 360 nm in the presence of 2-(9H-Fluoren-9-ylmethoxycarbonylamino)-propionic acid 1-(2-chloro-quinolin-3-ylmethyl)-1H-[1,2,3]triazole-4-ylmethyl ester (6a). TL;DR: A series of β-amino carbonyl compounds containing coumarin (4a-h) and benzofuran (6a-i) moieties was synthesized by a three component Mannich reaction of 3-acetyl-2H-chromen-2-one (1) or 1-(1-benzofuran-2yl) ethanone (5) with p-substituted aromatic aldehydes (2a-g) and aromatic amines (3a-b) in the presence of cerric ammonium nit
Abstract: A series of β-amino carbonyl compounds containing coumarin (4a–h) and benzofuran (6a–i) moieties was synthesized by a three component Mannich reaction of 3-acetyl-2H-chromen-2-one (1) or 1-(1-benzofuran-2-yl) ethanone (5) with p-substituted aromatic aldehydes (2a–g) and aromatic amines (3a–b) in the presence of cerric ammonium nitrate as a catalyst. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. Compounds 4b, 4e, 4f, 6f, 6g, and 6i showed microbial inhibition with minimal inhibition concentration ranging between 0.040 and 0.500 mg/mL, compounds 4b, 4c, 6c, 6e, and 6i showed promising free radical scavenging activity and compounds 4b, 4f, 6c, 6d, and 6h showed good chelating ability with Fe2+ ions. The synthesized compounds were studied for docking on the enzyme, glucosamine-6-phosphate synthase to predict the binding affinity and orientation at the active site of the receptor.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Zn-TiO2 composite was tested for corrosion performance by polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and the dissolution behavior of the coatings that had been immersed in corrosive media for a long time was studied.
Abstract: Metal-nanoparticle composite coatings improve the hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance properties of metal coatings. In this work, TiO2 nanoparticles were chosen as second-phase particles to generate anticorrosive Zn composite coatings. The TiO2 nanoparticles were dispersed in a Zn plating solution to co-deposit them with Zn. The Zn-TiO2 composite coatings were then characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and x-ray diffraction methods. The presence of TiO2 particles in the composite was confirmed by SEM images and EDS spectra. The Zn-TiO2 composite coatings incorporated with different amounts of TiO2 particles were tested for corrosion performance by polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and the dissolution behavior of the coatings that had been immersed in corrosive media for a long time was studied. Improved corrosion resistance properties of the Zn-TiO2 composite coatings were confirmed by polarization studies, fitted Nyquist plots, an increase in phase angle and a shift in the Rct characteristic peak of the Bode plot.

TL;DR: In this paper, the mixture of chitosan (CHI)/hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC) blend in buffer solution (0.1M acetic acid + 0.2M sodium acetate) was carried out by viscosity, ultrasonic velocity, density, and refractive index methods at 30, 40, and 50°C, respectively.
Abstract: The miscibility studies of chitosan (CHI)/hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC) blend in buffer solution (0.1M acetic acid + 0.2M sodium acetate) were carried out by viscosity, ultrasonic velocity, density, and refractive index methods at 30, 40, and 50°C, respectively. Using viscosity data, the interaction parameter μ and α were computed. These values revealed that the blend is miscible when the CHI content is more than 50% in the blend. The obtained results were further confirmed by ultrasonic velocity, density, and refractive index study. And also the result revealed that the change in temperature has no significant effect on the miscibility of CHI/HPMC polymer blends. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
