TL;DR: The idea of using implants in orthopaedic traumatology is to fix the reduced fracture fragments in the optimum position dictated by the specific condition so that the bone and other tissues can heal properly without compromising the function of the limb as discussed by the authors .
Abstract: The idea of using implants in orthopaedic traumatology is to fix the reduced fracture fragments in the optimum position dictated by the specific condition so that the bone and other tissues can heal properly without compromising the function of the limb. The surgeon must know all that can be known about the fracture personality: the number and size, including thickness, of the fragments and their disposition in spatial relationship. This is vital to plan reduction strategy, choose implants and their sizes and placement. Conventional radiology has served the basic purpose for more than a century. CT scans enabled to assess the fracture in sections of different planes that was not offered by X-ray images. Development of computer ecosystem brought into realm the reconstruction of the CT data into 3D images that can be viewed from any necessary angles. This is especially helpful, and even necessary, in complex and complicated cases, for example in peri-and intra-articular fractures and in complex bones like the innominate, vertebrae and calcaneum to name a few. The present chapter aims to elaborate on how this unique tool has contributed in providing the knowledge base so that the implant surgery can be planned and executed to perfection in complex conditions, for optimum benefit of the patients.

TL;DR: This is the first case of a skull base myxofibrosarcoma in the pediatric age group and it is believed to be a new type of Soft Tissue Sarcomas.
Abstract: Soft tissue sarcomas are a heterogeneous and a diverse group of neoplasm of mesodermal origin. Myxofibrosarcoma is one of the common histologic types of Soft Tissue Sarcomas. Formerly myxofibrosarcoma was considered as the myxoid variant of Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma. The 2002 WHO classification of tumors included them as a distinct entity after Angervval & kindblom [1] recognized them to be so and coined the term Myxofibrosarcoma. To date less than 20 patients have been reported to have head neck Myxofibrosarcoma and ours is the first case of a skull base myxofibrosarcoma in the pediatric age group. Case Report

TL;DR: A case wherein PCNHL had a very unusual site of presentation at intragluteal cleft and showed a complete remission on radiotherapy alone without recurrence on 6 monthly follow-up is reported.
Abstract: Primary cutaneous non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (PCNHL) is defined as lymphoma limited to skin without extracutaneous involvement at presentation and accounts for ∼ 5% of all non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHLs). [1, 2] After gastrointestinal lymphomas, skin is the second most affected organ by extranodal NHL with an estimated annual incidence of 1/100,000 in Western countries [3, 4]. Histopathological evaluation including immunophenotyping of the skin biopsy specimen is the basis of the diagnosis. Treatment modalities include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy. We report a case wherein PCNHL had a very unusual site of presentation at intragluteal cleft and showed a complete remission on radiotherapy alone without recurrence on 6 monthly follow-up.
