TL;DR: In this article, an anatomical study and a meta-analysis were performed to more accurately study the prevalence of anconeus epitrochlearis and Osborne's ligament, supporting the idea that the muscle may be protective against cubital tunnel syndrome.
Abstract: Background Anconeus epitrochlaeris muscle and Osborne's ligament are anatomical variants that are occasionally found at the cubital tunnel of the elbow. In certain individuals, these two structures may compress the ulnar nerve resulting in a cubital tunnel syndrome. Although these variants have been reported extensively, its prevalence is still unclear and its contribution to cubital tunnel syndrome is debatable. The aim of this study is to generate weighted frequency values of the anconeus epitrochlearis and Osborne's ligament, as well as to identify any association of these two structures with gender, side, ethnicity and the development of cubital tunnel syndrome. Methods An anatomical study and a meta-analysis were performed to more accurately study the prevalence of anconeus epitrochlearis and Osborne's ligament. A total of 40 original studies including the present study met the inclusion criteria for meta-analysis and 6 case reports for descriptive analysis. Results Crude pooled prevalence estimate of the anconeus epitrochlearis was significantly higher (p Conclusion The present study provides a more accurate estimate of anconeus epitrochlearis across the populations. There was a negative correlation between the presence of anconeus epitrochlearis and the development cubital tunnel syndrome, supporting the idea that the muscle may be protective against cubital tunnel syndrome. Future studies are needed to give proper definition of Osborne's ligament and accurately study its prevalence across populations.

TL;DR: It is shown that fragmentation can be understood better when treated both as stress and a threat, and the use of the IUCN‐CMP Unified Classifications of Direct Threats Version 3.2 is described, a convenient and universal tool, for more precise identification of the causes and consequences of fragmentation for Asian primates.
Abstract: Ongoing efforts to conserve the Asian primates are severely challenged by increasing rates of habitat loss and fragmentation. Underlying drivers such as rapid economic and population growth throughout much of South, East, and Southeast Asia have confined several populations of Asian primates to isolated fragments. Conservation efforts for these primates are partly hampered by a poor understanding of fragmentation, resulting in an inability to draw up effective long-term conservation responses. In this manuscript, I show that fragmentation can be understood better when treated both as stress and a threat. Moreover, despite a myriad of causes of fragmentation reported, most are broad descriptions or subject to various interpretations. Here I describe the use of the IUCN-CMP Unified Classifications of Direct Threats Version 3.2, a convenient and universal tool, for more precise identification of the causes and consequences of fragmentation for Asian primates. I further describe the interrelated variables influencing the persistence of Asian primates in fragments, and the conditions affecting these variables.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the demand for high quality auditors and the effect of their brand names on a security's pricing at the time of its initial public offering at the Thai capital market.
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the demand for high quality auditors and the effect of their brand names on a security's pricing at the time of its initial public offering. Because the Thai capital market is highly regulated, especially in terms of auditor selection (i.e. the Thai Security and Exchange Commission provides a list of individually qualified auditors and underwriting firms that the issuing firms have to choose from), it is therefore of interest to look at the demand for reputable audit firms and the importance of reputation capital in the signaling mechanism.Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected from 100 issuing firms that went public between 2003 and 2008. Logistic regression and OLS regression were applied to test the relationship between the use of reputable audit firms and the level of underpricing of new issues. The demand for reputable audit firms in this highly regulated capital market is also examined.Findings – The results suggest that only the newer lar...
