TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of the use of dispositivos moviles in the participación and motivación of a group of ciento veintidos estudiantes of espanol of nivel A1 of una universidad publica tailandesa.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Iodo Meyer-Schuster reaction was linked to the Iodonium-induced rearrangement of alkynols, leading to the formation of β-haloenones and β,β-dihaloenones.
Abstract: Recent development in iodonium-induced reactions of alkynols is discussed and analysed herein. ClassicalMeyer-Schuster and Rupe rearrangements are described as a background to the main body of iodonium-inducedreactions. α-Iodoenones derived from rearrangement of alkynols, known herein as the Iodo Meyer-Schusterreaction, links the classical Meyer-Schuster reaction to the novel reaction of iodonium-induced rearrangement ofalkynols. The rearrangements leading to the formations of β-haloenones and β,β-dihaloenones and enals arediscussed with mechanistic considerations, which include stereospecificity of the migrating group and themigratory aptitude differences between the phenyl and the alkyl groups. The role of solvents – namely the watercontent in organic solvent – is presented with mechanistic consideration of the role of the allenol, the haloniumbridge cation intermediates and water in dictating each different reaction pathways. The application of therearrangement reaction to biological interesting molecules such as glucofuranose and xylofuranose is discussed.Haloetherification reaction, the third type of halonium-induced alkynol reaction, was found to be the exclusivereaction in the halogenation of alkynol derivative of hexofuranoses. Key Words: Electrophilic halogenations; Alkynols; Iodonium ions; Meyer-Schuster and Rupe Rearrangements;β-Haloenones; β,β-Dihaloenones and enals; Ring expansion of alkynols

TL;DR: All of the FOP labels, including the monochrome GDA label, add price premiums to both healthy and unhealthy foods, and the traffic light label is effective in influencing consumers’ demand.
Abstract: This research study focuses on the willingness to pay for food products that have different front-of-package (FOP) nutrition labels, namely include the monochrome Guideline Daily Amounts (GDA) label, the colorcoded GDA label, and the traffic light label. While there has been a proposal to adopt the traffic light label, Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health currently requires five types of snacks to display the monochrome GDA label. The nth price auction was the method employed in this experiment to elicit the willingness to pay from seventy two Thai consumers. The participants had to bid for two types of seaweed and two types of almonds, affixed with three different types of FOP labels or a plain label. The grilled and fried seaweeds contain different amounts of fat, whilst the unsalted and salted almonds contain different levels of sodium. The results show that all of the FOP labels, including the monochrome GDA label, add price premiums to both healthy and unhealthy foods. The traffic light label is effective in influencing consumers’ demand, since consumers are willing to pay higher prices for healthier products. In addition, participants were also divided into two groups, after providing one group with additional information about the meanings of the different FOP labels. Under the traffic light label, the group provided with the extra information gave higher valuations on healthier foods.

TL;DR: This article investigated students' expectations for teachers using project-based learning (PBL) in an individual classroom, from a tactical perspective, based upon students' perceptions toward topic choice, teacher's support, evaluation method, and preference for PBL.
Abstract: This study aimed to investigate students’ expectations for teachers using project-based learning (PBL) in an individual classroom, from a tactical perspective, based upon students’ perceptions toward 1) topic choice, 2) teacher’s support, 3) evaluation method, and 4) preference for PBL. The Kano model, commonly used to compare the service expectations and performance perceptions of customers in a marketing context, was adopted as the survey instrument to evaluate 152 students’ perceptions. The results of the study were as follows. 1) From a tactical level, when conducting PBL, teachers should decide the project topic and evaluation method, and must provide sufficient and detailed assistance to students regarding the project. 2) From a more conceptual level, teachers’ domination in areas that are beyond the students’ capabilities to make decisions, greatly contributes to students’ learning.
