Abstract: Based on Reddy’s third-order shear deformation plate theory, the nonlinear dynamic response and vibration of imperfect functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) plates on elastic foundations subjected to dynamic loads and temperature are presented. The plates are reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes which vary according to the linear functions of the plate thickness. The plate’s effective material properties are assumed to depend on temperature and estimated through the rule of mixture. By applying the Airy stress function, Galerkin method and fourth-order Runge–Kutta method, nonlinear dynamic response and natural frequency for imperfect FG-CNTRC plates are determined. In numerical results, the influences of geometrical parameters, elastic foundations, initial imperfection, dynamic loads, temperature increment, and nanotube volume fraction on the nonlinear vibration of FG-CNTRC plates are investigated. Abstract: In a study of the possible impact of leader and follower sex-similarity on leadership criteria, survey responses of 1,974 military cadets in 167 squads were analyzed at the completion of a month-long field training exercise. Analyses (which included a series of hierarchical linear models that explicitly accounted for the nested character of squad membership relative to a leader) yielded results that indicated that same-sex leader–subordinate pairings had more positive working relationships than different-sex pairings. However, leader ratings of subordinate performance did not yield clear evidence of such an effect. In addition, increases in the proportion of female members in a squad were not associated with differences in squad-level cohesion, while being associated with decreases in squad-level leader–member exchange (LMX). Subordinate reports of participation in decision making, although correlated positively with LMX, were not significantly different as a function of leader–subordinate sex-similarity. Implications are derived for managing demographic diversity in order to enhance within-unit functioning.

Abstract: Values, opinions, perceptions, and experiences are the forces that drive almost each and every kind of decision-making. Evaluation criteria are considered as sources of information used to compare alternatives and, as a result, make selection easier. Seeing their direct effect on the solution, weighting methods that most accurately determine criteria weights are needed. Unfortunately, the crisp values are insufficient to model real life problems due to the lack of complete information and the vagueness arising from linguistic assessments of decision-makers. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel subjective weighting method called the Fuzzy Full Consistency Method (FUCOM-F) for determining weights as accurately as possible under fuzziness. The most prominent feature of the proposed method is obtaining the most accurate weight values with very few pairwise comparisons. Consequently, thanks to this model, consistency and reliability of the results increase while the processing time and effort decrease. Moreover, an illustrative example related to the green supplier evaluation problem is performed. Finally, the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy model is demonstrated by comparing it with fuzzy best-worst method (F-BWM) and fuzzy AHP (F-AHP) models.
