TL;DR: The paper points to a multi-criteria decision-making model based on the rough set theory application that demonstrates exceptional importance of the software application of the rough sets to decision- making in the security forces operations.
Abstract: The paper points to a multi-criteria decision-making model based on the rough set theory application. The model demonstrates exceptional importance of the software application of the rough sets to decision-making in the security forces operations. Applying the rough sets represents a useful tool when the data, needed for the decision-making process, include vagueness and uncertainty. By applying the model based on the applicative use of the rough sets, specific decision-making rules are formulated. These rules guide the decision-makers through the complete process of planning the security operations

TL;DR: This assay represents a simple, rapid, reliable approach for the detection and discrimination of methicillin-and mupirocin-resistant staphylococci.
Abstract: Staphylococcal hospital isolates (n = 166) were tested in a touchdown multiplex-polymerase chain reaction assay for the identification of methicillin and mupirocin resistance and discrimination of S. aureus (femA gene) from coagulase negative staphylococci and other bacteria. All isolates harbored the 16SrDNA (Staphylococcus genus specific internal control) gene, and 130 (78 %) the mecA (methicillin resistance) gene. Fifty-seven (44 %) of these were determined as methicillin-resistant S. aureus, while the remaining 73 (56 %) were methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci. Seventy-five (45 %) isolates harbored the ileS-2 (high-level mupirocin resistance) gene and were determined as mupirocin-resistant. This assay represents a simple, rapid, reliable approach for the detection and discrimination of methicillin-and mupirocin-resistant staphylococci.

TL;DR: It is suggested that amlodipine induces antinociception and increases ant inociceptive action of morphine and ketorolac, possibly through a decrease in cellular calcium availability.
Abstract: 1. The antinociceptive effects of amlodipine, administered subcutaneously (s.c.), intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) and intrathecally (i.t.) were examined with the acetic acid writhing and tail-flick tests in mice. Amlodipine was also tested in combination with morphine and ketorolac. Isobolographic analyses were used to define the nature of functional interactions between amlodipine and morphine or ketorolac. 2. The s.c. (0.1, 1.25, 2.5, 5 and 10 mg/kg), i.c.v. (2.5, 5, 10 and 20 micrograms/mice) and i.t. (2.5, 5, 10 and 20 micrograms/mice) administration of amlodipine exhibited a dose-dependent antinociceptive effect in the writhing test but had no effect on the tail-flick latency. Isobolographic analyses revealed an additive interaction between amlodipine and morphine or ketorolac in the writhing test. 3. These results suggest that amlodipine induces antinociception and increases antinociceptive action of morphine and ketorolac, possibly through a decrease in cellular calcium availability.

TL;DR: A secure quantum dialogue protocol based on single-photonss that not only overcomes information leakage but also possesses an acceptable efficiency is proposed.
Abstract: Combining the idea of ping-pong protocol with Controlled-NOT operation, we propose a secure quantum dialogue protocol based on single-photonss. Bob obtains the information of the encrypted quantum state by performing Controlled-NOT operation on the auxiliary particle and the encrypted single-photonss. Unlike the previous quantum dialogue protocols based on single-photonss, the proposed protocol not only overcomes information leakage but also possesses an acceptable efficiency.

TL;DR: The Khewera Mines located in Pakistan contain the world's second largest reserves of rock salt, and the concentrations of naturally occurring radionuclides in rock salt were investigated to find that the mean annual effective dose for adults was lower than the average annually effective dose worldwide.
Abstract: The Khewera Mines located in Pakistan contain the world's second largest reserves of rock salt. Rock salt is used in Pakistan in food recipes. It was decided to investigate the concentrations of naturally occurring radionuclides in rock salt from the Khewera Mines. Samples of rock salt were collected from 10 different locations and analysed by gamma spectrometry. The mean activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K were 790 +/- 262, 640 +/- 162 and 23 000 +/- 6000 mBq kg(-1), respectively. The mean annual effective dose due to the intake of natural radionuclides from rock salt for adults was estimated to be 0.0638 +/- 0.015 mSv, which is lower than the average annual effective dose of 0.29 mSv received per caput worldwide due to the ingestion of natural radionuclides, as reported by the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation in 2000.
