TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that half a dozen readings are sufficient to establish the end-point of a titration, which is found at the intersection of two straight lines, and that the presence of other substances in the sample capable of reacting with the titrant does not necessarily cause interference.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of different forestry covers -mata de panda (MP), Pinuspatula (PP), Eucalyptus grandis (EG) and Grevillearobusta (GR) - installed between 1965 and 1968 in the Estacao Experimental Agricola da Chianga(Huambo, Angola), on chemical properties of the Ferrallitic Soilswere assessed up to 30 cm depth, as compared to those observed in nearby conventional agricultural fields.
Abstract: Effects of different forestry covers - “mata de panda” (MP), Pinuspatula (PP)Eucalyptus grandis(EG) andGrevillearobusta (GR) - installed between 1965 and 1968 in the Estacao Experimental Agricola da Chianga(Huambo, Angola), on chemical properties of Ferrallitic Soilswere assessed up to 30 cm depth, as compared to those observed in nearby conventional agricultural fields.Only the soils of the areas with EG and GR showed a clear improvement in their reaction, content of organic carbon and of extractable non-acid cationsand effective cation exchange capacity, usuallyup to 10 cm depth. The improvement associated with “mata de panda”was less pronounced and that of PP plantations was negligible or nil.The recover capacity of soil fertility may depend on the nature of tree cover as well as on the soil characteristics itself. Results also indicate that the low soil capacity to retain cations exhibited by soils of the Planalto Central of Angola can be increased through both acidity correctionand increasingthe content of soil organic matter.

30 Nov 2017TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the possible circumstances that motivated the fact in the interpretation of the author, as a result of his technical knowledge as Veterinarian PhD in Veterinary Hygiene and Technological Processing of Animal Products, without considering official information for which it did not have access.
Abstract: The commercialization of products of animal origin in Brazil, by virtue of specific legislation, is preceded by previous industrial and sanitary inspection. Such inspection is performed by the Federal Inspection Service in establishments that carry out interstate or international commerce; by the State Inspection Services in those that carry out inter-municipal trade; and by the Municipal Inspection Services in those that carry out local trade. Independently of this obligation, it is the exclusive responsibility of the establishments to assure the quality and appropriateness for consumption of the products elaborated by them, leaving to the public authority the prerogative to authorize the regular ones and prevent irregularities from reaching consumers’ table, punishing the offenders when it is the case. The operation started by the federal police called “weak meat”, had as scope the information that abattoirs would be marketing deteriorated or otherwise unsuitable for consuming beef, constituting a criminal process and with the participation of public agents responsible for Inspection in these establishments. The objective of this debate was to evaluate the possible circumstances that motivated the fact in the interpretation of the author, as a result of his technical knowledge as Veterinarian PhD in Veterinary Hygiene and Technological Processing of Animal Products, without considering official information for which it did not have access.

19 Jul 2011TL;DR: In this paper, the soother has a plate (1) with a receiving hole and a hollow suction part (9) made of silicone, where the hollow part is provided with a through-hole at a distal end.
Abstract: The soother has a plate (1) with a receiving hole and a hollow suction part (9) made of silicone, where the hollow suction part is provided with a through-hole at a distal end. An access hole is provided for cavity at proximal end and an edge bead is outwardly projected at the proximal end. A pin is pressed for securing the suction part in the plate in the access hole of the suction part. The pin has a passage hole which extends from the outer end to the inner end of the pin.
